A Brainy Benefit: The Hangar Theatre’s Trivia NightHosted by DJ Dave Ashton from Lite Rock 97.3!Thursday, February 12 from 7–9 pmTickets: $100 team (up to 6) / $20 individual Join us for a fun and friendly Trivia Night to raise funds for the Hangar Theatre’s KIDDSTUFF Series! Gather your friends (or come on your own!), test your knowledge, and compete for Hangar-themed prizes—all while supporting the Hangar’s mission to bring outstanding Theatre for Young Audiences to our community. Whether you’re a trivia buff or just in it for a good time, this is a night you won’t want to miss. This is a family-friendly event that will include both general knowledge (pop culture, sports, history, music) and some theater-related trivia. We’ll have a cash bar with wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages as well as sweet and snacky items to keep you sharp and on the ball. Trivia Night FAQs: 1. How do I register as a team?Purchase a team ticket ($100) to register your team of up to 6 people. Within 48 hours of purchasing your ticket, you will receive a google form by email that will let you submit a team name (if you have one!) as well as the names of your team members. 2. Can I register as an individual?Absolutely! Purchase an individual ticket ($20) to register as an individual, and we will match you with a team. Within 48 hours of purchasing your ticket, you will receive a google form by email that will let you submit any team requests (for example, you and a friend could purchase individual tickets and request to be on the same team.) 3. How does it work?All teams will get asked the same question, read aloud by emcee DJ Dave Ashton. Players will work within their teams to come up with an answer, write it down, and submit. All questions are about a variety of topics including general knowledge and theater-related trivia. Some questions will be multiple choice, others will be fill in the blank. 4. How does a team win?The team with most points at the end of the game are our winners!

Hangar Theatre’s In Flight Entertainment series presents Lisa Rock in Close to You: The Music of the CarpentersSaturday, March 7 @ 7:30 pmTickets: $35 Considered one of the best vocalists of all time, Karen Carpenter captured the attention of a generation with her unabashedly catchy pop music. The Carpenters’ beautiful, memorable love songs topped the Billboard charts with more than a dozen number one hits. Now singer Lisa Rock and her 6-piece band are bringing the music of The Carpenters back to the stage with their spot-on renditions of Carpenters classics with Close to You: The Music of The Carpenters. Lisa Rock, a singer as well as a playwright, has been performing to sold-out crowds for years. She’s written more than 30 original concerts and cabarets that have been seen across the country. Now, Rock has arranged a 6-piece band, complete with back-up singers, and together they are dedicated to creating a Carpenters experience like no other. Rock’s amazing four octave range allows her to sing the hits like “We’ve Only Just Begun” and “Rainy Days and Mondays” in their original key, keeping the songs genuine and more recognizable for the audience. “When she hits the lower range of her marvelous voice,” notes critic Alan Bresloff, “if you close your eyes, you can see Karen Carpenter’s face.” But Rock goes beyond the music in her concert.
