Looking for a supportive space to share ideas, get advice, and connect with mentors? The LGBTQ+ Roundtable is the perfect platform for queer professionals to cultivate relationships, explore topics relevant to their professional journeys, and advocate for LGBTQ+ representation in Tompkins County.  This month we are excited to meet at The Waterfront Cafe! Nestled alongside the Cayuga Inlet, their vibrant space is bathed in natural light, providing a warm and inviting atmosphere. Located within the Cayuga Wellness Center building and adjacent to Island Health & Fitness, The Waterfront Cafe, owned by Rasa Spa, is a welcoming haven where you can nourish your body, mind, and soul. Community Conversations serve as a forum for the Tompkins Chamber and Visit Ithaca to engage leaders of businesses and organizations in different localities within Tompkins County and allow us to better understand and support the unique needs of each community. All business owners, non-profit leaders, and government officials are invited to attend. Participate in a facilitated discussion about the strengths and challenges of businesses and organizations in the Lansing community.  Network with other business, nonprofit, and community leaders. Explore highlights of the Tompkins Chamber & Visit Ithaca's programs of work and relevant opportunities for your community. Join us at Business After Hours! We are excited to invite you to an evening of celebration and connection at FOUND in Ithaca with co-sponsor, Southworks! FOUND in Ithaca is a multi-dealer antique and vintage marketplace. Their 45 dealers have assembled a rich and ever-changing array of hand-picked, artfully arranged items that encompasses a broad range of styles. Furniture from 19th c. formal to Mid-Century, including country primitive, cottage style and industrial pieces. Glass, china, pottery, estate & vintage jewelry, vintage clothing, art, ephemera and books. You’ll find all of these things and much more at FOUND! SouthWorks is the site that is home to FOUND in Ithaca. Built in phases from 1906 through 1971, SouthWorks is an 820,000 square-foot former industrial facility. Over the course of the site’s history, everything from industrial chains, automotive parts, critical components for bicycles, motorcycles, typewriters and calculators were manufactured on site. Notably, during World War I, the Tommy Plane was built there. SouthWorks is repurposing a historic industrial manufacturing site into a destination neighborhood with close to two million square feet of innovation, commercial, maker, residential, public, and outdoor space. FOUND in Ithaca is very the first tenant for the project! There will be a lovely spread of refreshments! South Hill Cider will be on site pouring drinks!
