The classes will take place in the Conservatory or Gardens depending on the weather. The classes will include lead meditation, poses, movement with the breath (Vinyasa). For beginner or advanced. Make a commitment to nurture your soul. Please register separately for each date you are interested in attending. Class will meet at the Conservatory. All payments must be completed on-line and made prior to attending selected scheduled session(s). Sorry, no walk-ins accepted.

Since 1991, Lasdon Park and Arboretum has been home to one of the American Chestnut orchards of The American Chestnut Research and Restoration Project. In this program, a researcher will dig deep into the progress to date of American Chestnut and blight resistance research. One unique finding occurred in July 2023 when the rare Chestnut Miner Bee was observed in Lasdon’s American Chestnut orchard. A bee that hasn’t been observed in New York State since 1904. This program should coincide with the bloom of the American Chestnut trees and possibly provide a glimpse of the rare bee. This is a unique opportunity that merges research to horticulture and the field of ecological restoration. Presented with The Garden Conservancy. Registration required through The Garden Conservancy. Every Saturday from April to November join the Lasdon Green Squad to keep Lasdon, Westchester’s Public Garden looking beautiful. Volunteers will work with Lasdon staff on tasks such as invasive species removal, planting, watering, weeding, trail maintenance, mulching, trash clean up, and other tasks. The scheduled tasks will rotate weekly throughout Lasdon’s 234 acres. This event is for Volunteers 14 years or older.You must be registered to participate. Come in weather appropriate clothes (coat, rain gear, hat sunscreen, insect repellent), closed toed footwear and pants are required. Gloves and tools will be provided. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water bottle.
