The classes will take place in the Conservatory or Gardens depending on the weather. The classes will include lead meditation, poses, movement with the breath (Vinyasa). For beginner or advanced. Make a commitment to nurture your soul. Please register separately for each date you are interested in attending. Class will meet at the Conservatory. All payments must be completed on-line and made prior to attending selected scheduled session(s). Sorry, no walk-ins accepted.

Urban Naturalist Bruce Rosenberg will lead a tour to examine over twenty plants and trees in the Arboretum that have medicinal qualities and are used to treat physical and mental conditions. All of these plants can be grown in your own backyard and are available at local nurseries. He will also briefly discuss some of the active chemical constituents of those plants which help to fight infections, inflammation and a host of other ailments.  Registration required.Meet at the Garden entrance.

Every Saturday from April to November join the Lasdon Green Squad to keep Lasdon, Westchester’s Public Garden looking beautiful. Volunteers will work with Lasdon staff on tasks such as invasive species removal, planting, watering, weeding, trail maintenance, mulching, trash clean up, and other tasks. The scheduled tasks will rotate weekly throughout Lasdon’s 234 acres. This event is for Volunteers 14 years or older.You must be registered to participate. Come in weather appropriate clothes (coat, rain gear, hat sunscreen, insect repellent), closed toed footwear and pants are required. Gloves and tools will be provided. Please bring your own snacks, lunch, and water bottle.
