The Historical Society of Rockland County invites you to join us for  RIVERSIDE MOGULS, PART 3 Wealth and Power in New York's Hudson Valley: Five Sleeping Giants When: Sunday, February 22, 2026, 1:00 pm SHARP Where: Lower-level Community Room, HSRC History Center, 20 Zukor Road, New City Price: $5.00 (Space is limited, and reservations are required) The latest addition to the Riverside Moguls series focuses on five Hudson Valley estates tied to industry that generally are not open to the public and thus have not been subject as much to popular attention. They include Eleazar Lord’s Piermont Castle and the Erie Railroad story; Sloatsburg’s “Table Rock” estate of both Alexander Hamilton and J. P. Morgan lineage; Charles Oliver Iselin’s All View estate of New Rochelle; Margaret Carnegie’s Migdale Estate of Millbrook; and the MacKenzie legacy of Sullivan County with Glen Spey’s Burn Brae Estate. About the speaker: Alex Prizgintas, a graduate of Marist College with degrees in Hudson River Valley history and public administration, has published articles in the Hudson River Valley Review, New York Archives Magazine, and Orange County  Historical Society Journal on topics such as Hudson River railroad history, Orange County’s dairy farming history, and the region’s early settlers. He is the town historian for Woodbury, NY, and president of Orange County’s Woodbury Historical Society.
