In this four-week class (May 9, 16, 23, 30), Inner Sage Yoga Founder Mareesa Nicosia leads a Kripalu-style yoga class that is designed for all levels, including beginners.  Build strength, improve flexibility, energize your nervous system, and have some fun! Teaching will focus on breathwork, alignment, and protecting the joints.   Yoga mats, blocks, and straps are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer.  Chairs are also available for support. Modifications are offered to support your individual needs. With Special Guest Lindsey Kraft. Ben Folds is widely regarded as one of the major music influencers of our generation. The Emmy-nominated singer-songwriter-composer has created an enormous body of genre-bending music that includes pop albums with Ben Folds Five, multiple solo albums, and numerous collaborative records. His latest pop solo album was released in 2023 to rave reviews and sold-out performances. He released his first Christmas album in 2024 and last Fall recorded a LIVE album slated for release in 2025 with the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in DC where he served for eight years as the first Artistic Advisor to the NSO. He currently tours as a pop artist, while also performing with some of the world’s greatest symphony orchestras. A New York Times Best Selling author and former podcast host, Ben is also working on new compositions for film, tv and theatre. He also frequently guest stars in films and TV. In 2022, Ben launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically-disadvantaged households. And he continually advocates for improving public policies for the arts and arts education on the national level as a member of Americans For The Arts and the Arts Action Fund. $1.00 per ticket Charity Fee of each ticket sold will be donated to Ben Folds’ Charity, Keys For Kids. *As a reminder, no outside food or drink permitted in the venue. Do you love reading and trivia? Then join us for the 2026 Battle of the Books, coming this Fall! This year's competition is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th at Anne M. Dorner Middle School in Ossining, NY. Battle of the Books is a book-based trivia tournament for Westchester youth, pitting library against library! Open to those in grades 4 to 6 and 7 to 12. Come hear what it's all about from our Children's and Teen Librarians, and decide if you want to join one of the teams for this year's competition. NYBC has continued collecting blood throughout the pandemic as the need for blood certainly has not stopped during these trying times. NYBC is implementing modifications to our collections to provide a controlled and safe environment to our staff and donors. Here are the steps NYBC is taking to make sure mobile blood drive set-ups are virus free: We ask blood donors and our own staff to stay home if they are not feeling well. Our staff are trained in universal precautions to help prevent the risk of spreading infectious agents. Blood Center employees’ temperatures are taken prior to the start of each shift. Blood donor temperatures are taken before they can start the registration process. Blood Center employees are to wear masks and donors a face covering. Blood drive set-ups are changed to allow more social spacing between donors and staff. Blood donations are by appointment only and walk-ins are only allowed if space allows. We are also regularly cleaning public surfaces. Refreshments for blood donors are single service, individually wrapped.
