"The Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by meticulously joining pieces back together and filling cracks with lacquer dusted with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, thereby highlighting the flaws in the mended object." - Oxford English DictionaryLearn how to beautifully repair a broken trinket dish (supplied by the library) with Sarah. Patrons who have broken ceramic objects at home they'd like to repair are encouraged to bring them in and fix them here at the library.Space is limited to 24 adult and high school participants at this time, and registration is recommended to reserve your spot. Registration will open on June 16, 2025. Patrons will need fine motor skills and the ability to apply light pressure evenly for a few minutes, multiple times.

These sensory friendly boxes will be filled with open-ended activites, materials aimed to boost fine and gross motor skills, and games to enhance problem-solving and decision-making skills through experimentations with different objects.Each month we will have a brand new bin to play with! Geared towards preschoolers ages 3 and up. Boxes may contain choking hazards and are not appropriate for children younger than 3.

Drop in for the whole time, or just a few minutes. When you're all done, a librarian can help you log your reading time into ReadSquared. This program is for all ages, but especially targeted towards kids who are participating in our Summer Reading Program. Please feel free to come any time between 4pm and 6pm and stay for as little or as long as you'd like. Since this is a reading focused program, please be polite and mindful to others and try to not disturb others.
