Have you always wanted to learn Mahjong? This 4-week session, led by Donna Pirro, will meet on Tuesday evenings from July 29 – August 19. It will give you the basic skills to start playing. The Library owns Mahjong tiles, which will be used for the class.  You will need your own Mahjong card to play.Please order a 2025 Mahjong card as soon as possible, so it arrives before the first class.  It can be ordered at https://www.nationalmahjonggleague.org/store.aspx#  This is NOT a drop-in program, registration is required. There are a limited number of spaces since we already had names on our waitlist from the last session. Please register on the webpage for the first class on July 29. For Grades 1 – 5. Join us each month as we meet to discuss one of the books in the Magic Tree House series and then do some fun activities based on the book. Our first meeting was a blast, discussing the first book, Dinosaurs Before Dark, and then making our own cardboard dinosaurs! In July we discussed The Knight at Dawn and made swords. This month we are on to book #3 – Mummies in the Morning. Come talk about the book, and do another fun activity afterward. The Lewisboro Library Fair takes place on Saturday, September 20, 2025. The annual Fair is our largest fundraiser to support the Library. The Book Sale and Attic Treasures Sale are two of the most popular events of the Fair – and we need YOUR gently used items for these sales. On Saturdays August 9 & 16 from 9 am to 1 pm, and August 23 from 10 am to 2 pm, volunteers will be collecting donations of gently used books and Attic Treasures at Onatru Farm Park.
