Do you know how to spot the signs of a stroke and what to do next? Stroke is a leading cause of death for Americans and a major contributor to serious long-term disability. But here’s the hopeful part: according to the American Stroke Association, up to 80% of strokes are preventable, and immediate action can make the difference between full recovery and lasting damage. A stroke doesn’t have to be a life sentence – when recognized quickly, a full recovery is possible. Every second counts. Join Dr. David Zuckerberg, Medical Director of the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps (LVAC), Vista Fire Department, and the Pound Ridge Ambulance Corps, for an essential, eye-opening workshop on stroke awareness. You’ll learn: The different types of strokes, and why they matterThe early warning signs that should never be ignoredHow quick action by bystanders can save lives and dramatically improve outcomesBring your questions! TRIVIA NIGHT AT THE HOUND IS BACK!Don’t miss this evening of trivia fun at the Horse and Hound in support of the Lewisboro Library!Get ready for challenging questions, delicious food and drinks – and prizes. Questions will cover a range of topics including general knowledge, pop culture, history, music, and more. A great way to gather with your neighbors, win prizes, and compete for the title of Lewisboro Library Trivia Champions! The best way to reserve seating is to form your team and then have a team captain purchase seats for the group. Knowing the number on each team will help us in setting up the venue before everyone arrives. Of course, individual players are also welcome, and we’ll do our best to pair you with another team. Please Note: If you have a team of six, book early – the space can only accommodate two tables of six players. The rest of the seating is for teams of four or less. Reserved seats are $25 per player. A reduced Pub Menu and cash bar will also be available. We recommend teams arrive early to beat the rush and place their food/drink orders before the games begin at 7 pm! The lineup includes house band Route 121, acapella groups the Noteables and Treblemakers – plus more to come! The “An Evening of Harmony” concert is a joint fundraiser for KLSD ArtsAlive and the Lewisboro Library. No registration is necessary. There will be a suggested donation of $10 at the door. The concert begins at 7 pm, doors will open at 6:30 pm.
