LIM is proud to offer free programs designed for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners. These monthly sessions offer time for creative engagement and social connection in our galleries and art studio, as well as through special music and movie programs. These programs are run in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center. Since meeting 40 years ago at a jam session and discovering how well their voices fit together, they’ve moved through life’s ups and downs by blending harmonies built on years of marriage, conversation, and listening. Sing along, dance, and enjoy a mix of musical favorites – from The Beatles to the Great American Songbook, from Americana to mellow classic rock. Get creative in this hands-on workshop where you’ll transform repurposed and found materials—such as old papers, ticket stubs, magazine clippings, fabric scraps, and ephemera—into a one-of-a-kind handmade journal. Junk journaling encourages artistic expression through a playful, non-perfectionist approach to art and memory keeping. Starter journals and supplies will be provided. Participants are also welcome to bring their own composition book, old planner, blank journal, and any personal ephemera (photos, special papers, fabric scraps, etc.) to customize their journal. Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults looking for a fun way to upcycle old materials. REGISTRATIONThis workshop is at capacity! Thank you to everyone who registered. A $5 materials fee is required (payable by cash or credit card at the door all materials provided). Join us for WUSB’s annual birthday celebration of folk legend Bob Dylan! At the height of his creativity in the 1960s, Dylan released the groundbreaking double album Blonde on Blonde in June 1966. In honor of the album’s 60th anniversary, we’ll feature songs from this iconic release, along with favorites spanning Dylan’s remarkable six-decade career as a songwriter and performer.
