Dear Parent/Guardian:On behalf of the faculty and staff here at West Babylon Junior High School, we would like to welcome all of our incoming 6th grade students. Our annual Sixth Grade Visitation to our school will be on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. At this time, parents will have an opportunity to tour the school with their child. This is a very nice way for parents and students to get an informal walkthrough of the Junior High School. Children must be accompanied by an adult.Student volunteers from our National Junior Honor Society will be present to assist parents as they tour the building. This program will be informal with a very brief orientation. Our goal is to give parents and students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the physical layout of our school to make opening day a little more comfortable. In the event you cannot attend on the 26th, an additional tour will be given on Monday August 31, 2026 at 9:00 AM. To alleviate congestion and make for a smoother walk through, we have set up a schedule below for each school. We ask that parents adhere to the schedule to the fullest extent possible. DATE: Wednesday, August 26, 2026 PLACE: West Babylon Junior High TIME: 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Tooker Avenue & Santapogue and New Registrants 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM John F. Kennedy, South Bay and New Registrants Although students will have their schedules for the tour, they will not be able to access their lockers during the walkthrough. However, all teachers and cluster leaders will be on hand during the first week of school to assist students with locker usage throughout the day.
