Nada Khader has served as the Executive Director of WESPAC Foundation for the past 25years.  WESPAC, Westchester People's Action Coalition, has been recognized by the City ofWhite Plains as a leading force in Westchester County for peace and justice work for overfive decades.  Nada has been a student of Prout, the Progressive Utilization Theory foralmost thirty years.  Prout is a vision of a just and peaceful world with an economy that worksfor all people and the natural world, and is based on local self-reliance, cooperation,guaranteeing all people the minimum necessities of life and ending poverty.Howard Nemon holds a PhD in Social Welfare from the University of Pennsylvania, where heworked on country-wide indicators for social progress. His research and academic teachingfocus on social policy, community organization, and international sustainable development.Nada will discuss WESPAC's current activities on a range of social, economic andenvironmental justice matters and will offer ways for people to get involved in our work. Howard will discuss the importance of economic democracy and community self-reliance.
