The Truth About Immigration: Why Successful Societies Welcome Newcomers by Zeke Hernandez. Our online calendar registration system is currently down as we work to transition and upgrade our Library Catalog. Zeke Hernandez, Associate Professor at the Wharton School, draws from nearly 20 years of research to answer all the big questions about immigration. He combines moving personal stories with rigorous research to offer an accessible, apolitical, and evidence-based look at how newcomers affect our local communities and our nation. He also proposes specific changes to the way the immigration system's current function and structure. Join us as we read about and discuss this very timely topic. The reading schedule will be: April 14 - Chapters 1-3 (pp. 1-64) April 21 - No meeting. Library closed. April 28 - Chapters 4-6 and Final Thoughts...
