Stories & Songs is an evening of original music and the stories behind the songs, shared by songwriters from our Central Baptist Church family. Throughout the night, writers will perform songs they’ve written and briefly share the moments and meaning behind the lyrics. You’ll hear a variety of styles, familiar voices, and some brand-new songs in a relaxed, listening-room style setting. This is not a typical worship service or concert, but a night centered on creativity, testimony, and storytelling through music. Featured songwriters include Clay Hess, Colby Burnette, Clint Overby, Mary Lee, Richard Ashworth, Amy Jackson, Wesley Maples, Dylan Cloud, and the Hughes Family.
