Join the Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists (HWFA) on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm at the Historic Johnson Farm for their annual Fiber Expo 2026. Through HWFAâs collaboration with the Historic Johnson Farm and the Blue Ridge Mountain Heritage Area the boarding house on the property has been transformed into a fiber arts center. As school children and the public tour the farm they see and/or experience hands-on learning in fiber arts. This may include weaving, rug hooking, bobbin lace, spinning, or knitting. A dye garden is being established to further mountain heritage crafts. This is event on January 31st is an opportunity to see demonstrations of most of the fiber arts that will be taught during 2026. Come join us. Free event, open to all.

Welcome to The Creatives Book Club! This wonât be a traditional book club. Instead of simply reading a book about art and creativity, weâll meet once a month to actually do a project from the chosen book. Itâs the perfect way to explore new mediums, hold yourself accountable to your creative practice, and finally make those beautiful pages come to life! We meet on the last Monday of the month, from 4-6pm Join us for an evening of collective art-making, mingling, and shared discovery as we dive into a project from an inspiring book of your choice! Schedule of Events: 5:30-6:15 am – Gate open for visitors with a reserved parking pass 6:15 am – Gate closes for admittance 6:45-7:15 am – Easter Sunrise Service Please Note: The parking is limited, so attendees will be required to reserve a parking pass in advance in order to attend the service. The parking pass is complimentary and will be available on our website starting on January 15, 2026. Carpooling is recommended. Join us on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 3pm at the Blue Ridge Community College Conference Hall for the Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra’s performance of Rachmaninoff’s Third Concerto and Bizet’s Carmen Suites no. 1 and 2. Originally slated for September 2024, but canceled due to Hurricane Helene, Dr. Brian Hsu returns to Hendersonville for Rachmaninoff’s most ambitious Piano Concerto, the Third. After an intermission, the orchestra will round out the season with two suites from Bizet’s most famous work, Carmen. Spanish rhythms and elegant melodies will get us singing and dancing for the season finale. Tickets are available online and at the door – $15 – $49.
