Strong leaders don’t network just for the sake of networking. They do it to build real relationships. In this interactive session, participants will learn how to connect in a way that feels natural, confident, and genuinely human. This session offers practical tools to navigate conversations with ease, communicate your value without sounding rehearsed, and build relationships that last beyond the room and support long-term growth.    Lauren Ansley is a dynamic keynote speaker, event emcee, and audience engagement specialist who brings energy, humor, and connection to every stage she steps on. She helps organizations create interactive, memorable experiences that strengthen communication, leadership, and professional skills.  With a background in marketing, sales, event management, and workforce development, Lauren blends business insight with entertainment to keep audiences engaged from kickoff  to close. Her work focuses on audience connection, presentation excellence, and creating moments that make learning stick.  Lauren is committed to making training and conferences fun, interactive, and impactful. She earned her B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Winthrop University and has called Charlotte home for more than 15 years.

We are proud to organize the first Alzheimer’s Awareness Walk in Union County, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association and the City of Monroe. This premier community event is designed to support caregivers and families navigating Alzheimer’s and dementia by connecting them with valuable local resources, education, and support services. Free to attend and open to the community Attendees will have the opportunity to: Meet local organizations that support caregivers Learn about Dementia care resources available in Union County Connect with others in the community While the event is free, we encourage attendees and community partners to consider supporting the cause through a voluntary donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, or by contributing helpful items such as brain activity puzzles and engagement materials for seniors. These small contributions can make a meaningful difference in supporting individuals living with Dementia and their caregivers. This event is open to caregivers, families, and community members who want to learn more and support Alzheimer’s awareness. Let’s come together to raise awareness and support those impacted by Alzheimer’s in our community.

You're Invited to the Girls on the Run of Union County Relocation Ribbon Cutting!   Friday, August 28th, 2026 4 p.m. Come join your Union County Chamber in celebrating the relocation of Girls on the Run in Union County. This move reflects Girls on the Run of Union County’s commitment to better serving the community and local families by providing a more accessible and welcoming space for programs, meetings, and engagement. Guests are invited to visit the new downtown Monroe location, learn more about Girls on the Run programs, meet staff and supporters, and celebrate this exciting new chapter for the organization. Girls on the Run of Union County inspires girls to build confidence, develop life skills, and strengthen their physical and emotional well-being through evidence-based after-school programs and community engagement opportunities. The celebration will include free games with small prizes, music, and raffle baskets available for ticket purchase. United Way of Greater Charlotte serving Union County is excited to host our annual Day of Caring on Saturday, August 29th at Wingate University, and we would love for your organization to get involved. This countywide initiative brings together hundreds of volunteers to complete service projects supporting elderly and disabled residents across Union County. We help with projects around the house like raking, washing windows, cleaning gutters, small painting jobs outside, trimming bushes, and cleaning garden beds.    The day will begin with a kickoff at 8:00 AM, followed by service projects starting at 9:00 AM. We encourage you to gather your team and join us for a rewarding day of service. Team captains, we will have training in August to go over the event logistics, provide t-shirts and answer any questions before the event.     You can register to volunteer at the following link:  -https://tinyurl.com/t7bdfywr
