Olive Hill's First-time Home buyer Class can help. In one day of training, you will learn the entire home buying process from start to finish and how to stay on track as a responsible homeowner. A certificate of completion is issued upon completion. Are You Required to Take this Class? Anyone can take Olive Hill's Home buyer Class, but the class is required if you're applying for a NC Housing Finance Agency Community Partner Loan Pool home loan. CPLP financing can be used independently or with and NC Home Advantage Mortgage™, including down payment assistance. Eligible first-time buyers can also apply for an MCC. If you're buying a house with your spouse or another person who will legally share the financial responsibility for making mortgage payments, then both of you must complete the class.  Getting started is easy.  Register here www.ohcedc.org/register

  The Burke County Chamber of Commerce  Summer Shop Local   The Burke County Chamber of Commerce will host a Summer Shop Local event featuring some of the fantastic businesses & organizations in Burke County!     This event will offer an opportunity to connect with the community and with other vendors! There will be social media promotion for all participating businesses/organizations. The goal is to increase visibility for participants, and offer a networking & community engagement opportunity right here in our parking lot in downtown Morganton during TGIF!  This event will take place alongside the Downtown Morganton TGIF, so all vendors will have added exposure to the public on this night.  Participants will need to provide their own tables, chairs, tents, and anything else that they may need.
