The New Bern Military Alliance is a self-sustaining organization structured to support and create interaction with the Marine Corp Air Station Cherry Point, its military families, and other military facilities and personnel in the surrounding counties.   The military presence in our area has a significant economic impact and the military families associated with this presence contribute to the social fabric of our community.  Membership in the NBMA includes participation in a yearlong schedule of events both on and off the base.   Membership is open to all Chamber Members

We cordially invite you to attend a Ribbon Cutting to celebrate the new location & Grand Opening of  Bike Box Project and Rock Steady Boxing New Bern!   Have you ever participated in "Chair Yoga"?   If not join us at 11:15 for Mindful Movement!   Bike Box Project is a 501c3 dedicated to giving hope to people with Parkinson’s disease (PD), particularly those in our local community, by raising awareness and funds for research and resources, and providing programs to meet the needs of those with PD and their caregivers. Those with PD have a community of family, friends, doctors, therapists, and other service providers, all of whom interact with Bike Box Project, its Support Group, and its programs like the reputable and research-based Rock Steady Boxing program. Rock Steady Boxing is an internationally recognized, research-based program that helps to improve functional movements through increased strength, agility, balance, and flexibility with the effect of slowing and mitigating the progression of the disease, in a positive, upbeat atmosphere.
