Governor's Volunteer Service Award Recognition event. We are invited to attend along with our nominees. See below for more details. Thank you so much for taking the time to nominate a volunteer(s) for recognition at our Annual Iredell County Outstanding Volunteer Recognition Event! We are excited to celebrate the incredible individuals who make such a meaningful impact in our community.  This year we had 25 submissions; 4 of those were for groups of 2 or more individuals.  As we did last year, each nominee will be recognized and celebrated during our program for the truly AMAZING impact they are making in our community.  In addition, our Committee selected 5 of the nominees to be recognized for the Governorâs Volunteer Service Award.  Those recipients will be announced at the event and we are adding some other exciting components to the program this year!! We will be holding our celebration the evening of Thursday April 23rd, starting with a social hour at 5:30 PM.  We will have a photographer on hand to take photos, and we will also be serving deserts and some other tasty bites, as well as refreshments.  The recognition program will begin at 6:30 PM and last until approximately 8:30 PM.  Location:  First Baptist Church â Fellowship Hall, 815 Davie Avenue, Statesville NC 28677 I will send a hold the date email out to the nominees next week.  In case you havenât informed your volunteer(s) of your nomination, you will have a chance to do so yourself prior to next Wednesday đ To help us prepare a special slideshow honoring each volunteer, please send up to 20 photos of your nominated volunteer at your earliest convenience. These can include candid shots, event photos, or any pictures that capture their spirit and service.
