Each Team will prepare by getting their flags and belts on (color appropriate). Volunteers can help and students should help each other as well. Have 1 volunteer on each side. The players scatter out across the field. On the signal, they will try and tear off the opposing teams belts. When a players flags have been removed, they must leave the field immediately. The last team to have any players left will be declared the winner. All players must move throughout the field and are not allowed to just stand in a corner. Their will also be a 3 minute time limit on the game. Play as many times as possible. Switch teams as well. Inflatable Obstacle Course - Munson PTO has generously donated an Obstacle Course for this year’s Field Day! The students will be very excited about this station. Volunteers will have students go one at a time (There are two lanes, so a two total students will go at once) and wait for them to get to the end, and send the next two. Students can race if they would like. Make sure students are being safe. Any student that is making poor choices can be sat out. MEMORY RELAY: -Divide students into teams of 4 even teams of students. Arrange 42 cones in 7 rows of 6 in a very large area. Each team will be in charge of finding all six of their own team’s beanbags. The team’s bean bag will be placed randomly inside the cones before students enter the play area. Arrange the other cones as places for each team. This event will be a relay. The first person from each team will go into the cone area and ook under one cone. If an object is found, the student takes it and returns to his/her team; if an object is not found, they still return to their team. The person then tags the hand of the next person in line and goes to the end of the line. Remind students that no one should move until the signal. Let students know that they may not slide into a cone. They must pick the cone up and correctly place it back down. Once one team finds all of their objects, The objects will be randomly placed again and we will start a new game. Beach Ball Relay - Equipment: Two beach balls - one cone Object: Beach ball races are simple. Two students must carry a beach ball across the class and back without using their hands. . **Back Up Game - Hoop Relay - Equipment: Two hoops. Format: Split the group into two teams. Each team will join hands and see who can get the hoop from one end of the line to other without the chain breaking. “Tic Tac Toe” Relay: - Divide the students into 4 teams. They will pick up a shirt/towel and run it to the hoops that are set up (Tic Tac Toe board). Once they place the item down in one of the hoops, they will run back and tag the next person. The next person will go and put an item in a second hoop. Teams cannot share hoops. If after all three items are used and no team has “Tic Tac Toe” yet, the next person will run and move one of their items to a different, open hoop. First team to get “Tic Tac Toe” wins.” “Ski Ball” Relay: The class will be divided into 4 even teams. They will all start behind their own cone. A container of bean bags will be placed about 20 yards in front of them. The students will run, grab a bag, and head to their targets. There will be dog bowls that will be used as ski ball targets. The thrower will toss the bag underhand and attempt to score points for their team. After the bag is thrown. The student will go back and tag the next person in line. The team with the most points wins. Musical Hoops: This is the exact same game as musical chairs except you will us Hula Hoops instead.
