This is the mandatory training session for the large format printer/cutter available at the Bainbridge Branch and at the Chardon Creativity Center. The training also covers the heat press as it works well with the printer. The large format printer/cutter prints banners, posters, stickers, and heat transfer vinyl for garments and bags. Use the heat press to attach any heat transfer design from the printer on to your chosen shirt, sweatshirt, apron, bag, or other fabric. Learn the basic steps to use the large format printer/cutter and heat press so that you can come to the Bainbridge branch or the Chardon Creativity Center and create your own one-of-a-kind items.All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 12 need a guardian with them to use the large format printer/cutter and heat press. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the machines. If you will require assistance, the library recommends finding your own assistant, who must also attend this mandatory training before working in the Geauga County Public Library maker spaces.Must have a Clevnet or Geauga County Public Library card to sign the user agreement at the end of the session.Click the link below for the written tutorials for this specific equipment for reference.Registration is required

The Digital Legacy Lab is a free do-it-yourself space to convert your physical materials to digital files, preserving your important documents and memories for the future. Each DLL is comprised of equipment and software for digitization projects, including 8mm and super8 film scanners, photo and document scanners, vinyl record and cassette recorders, microphones, and VHS tapes. Digital Legacy Lab Orientations are available at least once a month to provide an introduction to the Digital Legacy Labâs equipment and the process of digitization. The orientation is lecture-based and does not include hands-on training with any equipment. Additional individual support is available during consultation hours with the Digitization Specialist.Registration is required.

For assistance locating the makerspace doors, please call 440-285-7601 ext.2552.This is the mandatory training session for the laser engraver in the Geauga County Public Libraryâs maker spaces. The laser engraver can engrave wood, metal, plastic, glass, leather, and cardboard. You can also cut certain materials with the laser. Learn how to engrave and cut flat and cylindrical objects like a drinking glass so that you can come to the Bainbridge branch or to the Chardon Creativity Center and create your own one-of-a-kind items.All ages welcome to attend the training session. Children under 15 need a guardian with them to use the laser engraver. The guardian must also attend this training before helping a minor with the engraver.
