IN-PERSONThe Ohio School Counselor EvaluationSystem (OSCES) Evaluator Training willprepare an evaluator of schoolcounselors, as defined by the role youserve in a Local Educational Agency (LEA),for effective, high-quality and consistentschool counselor evaluation using theEvaluation Framework for SchoolCounselors as adopted by the StateBoard of Education in April 2016(updated December 2022). To become acertificated evaluator of schoolcounselors in the State of Ohio, anindividual must successfully complete aone-day training delivered by an OSCESstate trainer. Upon successful completionof the training, a certificate of completionwill be issued for verification. Thetraining will provide better understandingof the OSCES Framework and Model andallow practice of skills and sharing ofresources and best practices in educatorevaluation. This one-day session isrequired for all evaluators of schoolcounselors.
