A.C.E. is the academic booster organization for the Logan-Hocking Local School District. Its purpose is to support and promote academic programs in grades K-12 in the Logan-Hocking School District by encouraging and recognizing academic achievement.  Meetings Dates for 2025-2026 are held on the following Wednesdays: August 6, September 3, October 1, November 5, January 7, February 4, March 4, and April 8 (April 1 is LHSD Spring Break).  Meetings will be Virtual Format, unless noted. All parents, teachers, administrators and others interested in supporting academics are welcome to attend. Memberships are: $10 individual, $15 family and $35 for a business. Our membership drive usually begins mid-September and runs through the end of October, but prospective members are welcome to join at anytime throughout the year. Our next SAP meeting will be on Tuesday, September 16th @ 8:15am (End of 1st Period) in Library Lab 149.   The SAP team will review the list of LHS students who have been submitted through SAP Referral Process and create Action Steps for providing assistance and review earlier submissions for progress. The Student Assistance Program (SAP) supports students experiencing barriers to success. LHS SAP is supported by a Student Assistance Team (SAT), which consists of specially trained teachers, school counselors, administrators, and other school personnel. The SAT has scheduled review meetings twice a month The SAP goal is to work with students and caregivers to offer recommendations, interventions, and supports to the student. Some of these services are school-based, while other services recommended by the team are out-of-school community-based resources. After reviewing a referral, the team will partner with student/caregiver on planning supports. The team gathers information concerning the student in order to make the most appropriate referral for services. All information gathered/related to the student's involvement is confidential to the SAT unless there are concerns about the child’s or other’s safety. Data collected may include classroom performance, attendance data, grades, disciplinary data, staff/student rating forms, and caregiver feedback.
