Educational Series: Buyers Don’t Think — They Feel: A Beginner’s Guide to Neuromarketing

Join us on Thursday, May 7, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for an Educational Series led by Shon Christy, marketing expert and CEO of neurovantage. He will present "Buyers Don’t Think — They Feel: A Beginner’s Guide to Neuromarketing." Christy will explore how emotions—not logic—drive most purchasing decisions. Drawing from neuromarketing insights and real-world marketing experience, attendees will learn how to better connect with customers and influence decision-making. This session will also feature a demonstration of neurovantage's technology through the Neuro-Van, offering a unique look at neuromarketing in action. Participants will learn how to: Understand the science behind buying decisions – Discover how the brain processes emotion, trust, and attention when consumers evaluate products and services. Create marketing that connects emotionally – Learn how to craft messaging and storytelling that resonates with how people actually make decisions. Use behavioral insights to improve marketing performance – Identify practical techniques that increase engagement, memorability, and conversion. Recognize subconscious triggers that influence customers – Explore visual cues, messaging frameworks, and brand signals that drive action. Apply neuromarketing concepts to everyday marketing – Walk away with simple, actionable strategies that can be implemented immediately in sales, branding, and communication. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of why people buy—and how to design marketing that aligns with how the human brain really works. Shon Christy is a marketing entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience and a recognized pioneer in Ohio’s digital marketing landscape. In 2010, he launched Christy Creative, Ohio’s first niche social media marketing firm, helping define the state’s early social media strategy movement. He later founded Shon Christy Social Media and Fractional Social Pro, Ohio’s first niche fractional social media company, and has worked with more than 800 organizations internationally throughout his career. He is also the creator of NeuroVantage, an innovative biometric and eye-tracking research company inspired by collaboration with The University of Akron College of Business that blends behavioral science with marketing performance insights.
