Wooster Area Young Professionals are invited to come together for a meaningful evening of connection and service in support of Forget-Me-Not Baskets, a local nonprofit dedicated to providing items of grief support, comfort and remembrance to families who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, birth or soon after.   On Wednesday, February 11, from 5-7 PM, we'll meet in the Wooster Chamber conference room to assist with preparations for their upcoming Purse Bingo fundraiser. Volunteers will help assemble guest goody bags, prepare table cards, pack bingo chips, and assist with other event-prep needs.   This is a great opportunity to gather in support of a meaningful cause and make a positive impact in our community.

Behavior-Based Safety and Servant Leadership: Building Safer, Stronger Teams In the world of workplace safety, data is essential—but culture is the engine that drives it. For our next Wooster Area Safety Council meeting, we are excited to welcome Kyle Berg, EHS Manager at ArtiFlex Manufacturing, to discuss the powerful intersection of Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) and Servant Leadership. The Philosophy: Data Driven, People Centered Many organizations view safety as a checklist, but Kyle’s approach looks deeper at the "why" behind workplace actions. • Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) is a proactive, data-driven strategy that focuses on observing and modifying behaviors to stop injuries before they happen. • Servant Leadership is the philosophy of putting the team first—prioritizing the growth, well-being, and empowerment of every employee. When these two concepts collide, something remarkable happens. Servant leadership provides the cultural foundation necessary for BBS to succeed. When employees feel served and valued by their leaders, they are more engaged in safety protocols, leading to a stronger, more resilient safety culture.   Meet Our Speaker: Kyle Berg A lifelong resident of Wayne County, Kyle brings a decade of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) expertise to the table. He has spent the last four years leading safety initiatives at ArtiFlex Manufacturing in Wooster, following a significant tenure at The J.M. Smucker Co. Kyle’s commitment to safety is rooted in his "people-first" perspective. Outside of his professional role, he is a dedicated family man, married with four children. Now in its 35th year, the Annual Wayne County Home and Garden Show will be held on April 25 & 26, 2026 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds.  At previous shows, over 200 exhibitors participated and found it the perfect place to feature their products and services to the public. We are confident that you will experience the same satisfaction by participating this year.   We estimate an attendance of approximately 18,000 visitors to the show on an annual basis, which ensures ultimate exposure for your business. In addition to exhibits, the show features children's activities, a plant sale, and traditional fair food concessions.    *See CONTRACT for further details.   Participation in the show includes exhibit space, backdrops and side curtains (where applicable), electric and water, plus advertising to over 60,000 households.
