Western heritage and cowboy competition take center stage at the 2nd Annual Clem McSpadden Cowboy Trade Day & Ranch Rodeo on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at the Will Rogers Stampede Arena in Claremore, Oklahoma. This event kicks off rodeo month for the city of Claremore and leads up to the 80th Annual Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo that will be held May 22-24, 2026! Hosted by the Will Rogers Stampede Heritage Association, the event celebrates ranching traditions and the legacy of Oklahoma cowboy and statesman Clem McSpadden. The full-day event will feature a variety of ranch- style competitions and family-friendly activities, including an Open Ranch Horse Show beginning at 10:00 a.m., a Mutton Bustin’ Qualifier for the Will Rogers Stampede PRCA Rodeo at 1:00 p.m., and a Ranch Rodeo starting at 4:00 p.m. Goat roping will take place throughout the day. The Cowboy Trade Day will also run from 10:00 a.m. until dark, featuring more than 50 vendors offering western gear, tack, leather goods, apparel, bits, spurs, buckles, knives, and other cowboy essentials along with multiple other vendors that have a little something for everyone! Entries are still being accepted for both the Ranch Rodeo and Ranch Horse Show. Vendor spaces for the Cowboy Trade Day are also still available, and organizers encourage businesses and exhibitors to secure their spots soon. In addition, a variety of partnership opportunities remain open for those interested in supporting and being part of this growing event. The evening will conclude with a live after-rodeo concert featuring the band Charley Horse with Seth Riley and Zach Henry. Arena admission is by donation if able, with proceeds benefiting the Oklahoma Cattlemen’s Foundation Fire Relief Fund. Organizers Hannah Mendell and Jenny Bailey invite families, rodeo fans, and visitors from across the region to come experience a full day of authentic Western culture, competition, and community.
