It’s time to get the school supplies we’ve been collecting into the hands of local students! If you or a student you know needs school supplies, visit our giveaway here at the library. ¡Estudiantes locales! ¿Necesitas útiles escolares? Información en español Là học sinh địa phương! Thông tin bằng tiếng Việt الطلاب المحليون! هل تحتاج إلى مستلزمات مدرسية؟ معلومات باللغة العربية Students and families can visit on Sunday, August 17th, 2025, any time from 10am-2pm, to pick out what they need. Supplies will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. No proof of income or residency required. Limited variety of items available while supplies last. Only some supplies requested by schools will be available at the library. All items are donated by the community; the library has no control over the quantity or styles of available items. Visitors may need to wait in line while others choose their supplies. We appreciate your patience and respect for others in the library. A huge thank you to everyone who has sent or dropped off items so far in order to make this event possible! It’s not too late to contribute (or contribute again, if you are so moved!) – we’re still in need of more of everything on our list in order to have enough materials on hand to serve local students who need them. Our one-on-one Drop-In Tech Help is moving to Tuesdays! Whether you’re a beginner trying to navigate your first smartphone or a more experienced user looking to troubleshoot an issue with your computer or assemble a custom PC build, we’re here to help. Drop-in to ask questions and receive one-on-one assistance with a variety of topics, including but not limited to: Basic computer skills (e.g. how to use a mouse, open and close programs, create and save documents) Setting up and using an email account Using search engines and the internet Transferring files and photos between devices Basic smartphone and tablet skills (e.g. how to make a call, send a text message, install and use an app) Plan a custom PC build (e.g. determine hardware compatibility, budget for components, tips for assembly) Optimize your gaming PC (e.g. enable XMP/DOCP RAM profiles, install latest graphics drivers) No matter your level of experience, we welcome you to join us! No registration required. Please bring your device with you if you have one, as this will allow us to better assist you with any specific issues you may be experiencing.

Featuring instruction from a professional miniature painter on priming, paintbrush basics, layering, highlighting and more! Whether you’re a seasoned tabletop gamer looking to level up your skills or just looking to dip your toes into a new creative hobby and have never touched a paintbrush, this is the event for you! This class is free and includes all of the supplies you’ll need, including a miniature to take home at the end of the class! Open to all ages 16+. Seating is limited, so please register to secure your spot.
