Ready to rescue your shrubs and small trees from being butchered into meatballs, squares, flattops and lollipops?  Or just need to do some size reduction and taming on a specimen that has outgrown its allotted space?  Perhaps you are new to gardening and just want to learn how to do things the right way.  Pruning woodies can be intimidating to many, especially when you care about the health, vigor and aesthetics of your ornamental shrubs and trees.  Come join us for a basic tutorial of pruning fundamentals, including tips for rejuvenating and restoring poor mistreated plants.  With a little bit of knowledge and understanding about the growth and bloom cycles of the plants you wish to prune, as well as their inherent habit/shape if left unpruned, you can learn to honor the integrity of what you’ve got in your garden and reduce the work needed to maintain it. Kids Day is the second Saturday of every month.  so mark your calendars. This is a special day that the museum sets aside to teach and expose children to the world of earth sciences, fossils, dinosaurs, and other really cool things we know they would like. There are free 20 minute classes that start on the half hour beginning at 10:30 am and continue with the last class at 2:30 pm. Afterwards, the whole family can explore the museum and all its wonderful displays. Take a stroll through the rock yard outside the workshop. If you find a rock on the ground, it’s only 25 cents a pound for everyone on Kids Day. In the bins, it’s $1.00. On days other than Kids Day, it’s 25 cents a pound for kids and $1.00 for adults. Welcome, fellow truth-seekers and armchair detectives, to the inaugural Southern Oregon True Crime Summit. My name is Melynda, and like many of you, I’ve spent countless hours meticulously examining evidence, delving into case files, and pondering the ‘whodunits’ that captivate our collective curiosity.  We are here because we share a fascination with the darker side of human nature and a relentless drive to understand the ‘why’ behind the unthinkable. This event is a unique opportunity to step beyond the headlines and explore the real stories, the victims, the investigators, and the justice system that works to bring clarity to chaos. Over the next 2 days, we will hear from experts in forensics, psychology and victim advocacy.  We will examine famous cold cases, discuss modern investigative techniques, and explore the ethical considerations of our shared obsession. We will learn, we will question, and perhaps, we will even find a few answers. Even though we find true crime content compelling, we want to  always ensure our interest is rooted in deep respect for the victims and their stories.
