Every Friday in April we will be hosting a tree walk for Earth Month! Each walk will start and end at the FOT office and venture into the neighborhoods of Downtown and Jefferson Westside on a unique route to visit our friendly tree neighbors.Meet at the Friends of Trees office, 1238 1/2 Lincoln St in Eugene, by 4pm. The walk will conclude back at the meeting location around 5:30pm. No pre-registration required. Free & all welcome.

Let's plant trees together across Eugene & Springfield! Dozens of trees will be ready for planting in their new homes, and your help is what makes this community planting possible. Planting volunteers please arrive by 8:45am to sign-in and be assigned a planting crew. Truck drivers, bike planters, and crew leaders please arrive by 8:30am to check in and for planting team assignments. The planting starts at 9:00am. We ask that all volunteers dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes/boots. We also recommend bringing along a water bottle and a personal snack. Friends of Trees will provide gloves, tools, planting guidance, and morning snacks.  More planting details including the meeting location will be sent to all who register via email. Transportation: Our neighborhood planting events will have driving teams and bike teams. You will travel from the meeting location to several planting sites (up to several miles). We recommend private transportation (bike or vehicle), but there may be an option to carpool if others in your small planting crew are also comfortable with this. Planting Volunteers: How do I register? Register by filling out this quick form.  Groups (up to 15) and individuals welcome! If your group is more than 5 people, reach out to Taylor at [email protected] to coordinate and please know you will be assigned to different planting crews. Under age 18? We request that youth 15 and under volunteer with a parent/guardian. Youth 16 and older can volunteer on their own and will need to hand us a youth waiver form signed by their parent/guardian. Want to join a bike planting team? Register here. Bike teams will bring their own bike or borrow a bikeshare bike to help cruise trees and tools from site to site. Bike teams will haul their gear on bike trailers. Have a truck that can haul trees & tools for planting teams? At each neighborhood planting event we are looking for trucks to help out with hauling gear for planting teams or delivering mulch to teams for their newly planted trees.
