Our Story: Our story began in 1926, when a handful of Lutheran women came together around an unmet need and a shared belief that every neighbor deserves care, dignity, and hope.   Our Journey: As the needs of our communities changed, so did we, offering refuge to families fleeing war, providing counseling through life's hardest moments, and growing alongside the people we serve.   Our Future: One hundred years later, that same calling to serve continues to guide us. Together, we're writing the next chapter of bringing health, justice, and hope to our communities.   This milestone belongs to all of us. Join us as we celebrate a century of partnership, honor the people who made this milestone possible, and look ahead to the future we'll continue to build together.   Honoring Salah Ansary with the Centennial Award As part of this historic celebration, we are proud to recognize Salah Ansary as our Centennial Award recipient, honoring his service, leadership, and longstanding partnership with Lutheran Community Services Northwest. Salah’s connection to LCSNW reflects the spirit of our centennial: relationships built over time, a commitment to serving our neighbors, and the extraordinary impact that is possible when people work together for stronger, more welcoming communities. The Gresham Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to introduce a brand-new event you won’t want to miss—Pickleball Palooza+ Pickleball Tournament, happening Saturday, October 10th at Cascade Athletic Club! This high-energy community celebration brings together a fun yet competitive pickleball tournament Open to the entire community. 🎾 The day kicks off with a fun yet challenging pickleball tournament welcoming skill levels 3.0 through 4.5, creating an inclusive and exciting environment for both players and spectators.  🎾 Pickleball Registration Instructions and Details: All participants sign up and pay individually.  During registration, please list in the comment section if you are playing with a specific partner.  If a player signs up without a partner, we'll do our best to match them up with one. 4 divisions (Age 16 & up).  Players when registering, please select the most appropriate level of play based on your level and where you would like to compete. Men 3.0-3.5 Level Men 3.5-4.0+ Level Women 3.0-3.5 Level Women 3.5-4.0+ Mixed doubles Tournament directors reserve the right to adjust player or team placement and to add/combine divisions. The goal is to have all players/teams compete in the most appropriate level/division. Total matches played will be based on total entries, with a potential of 4-7 matches played.   Awards for top 3 teams in each division. Tournament entry includes swag bag & meal ticket.   Tournament Check-In: 8:30 AM Tournament Play Time: 9:00 AM
