This class is an introduction to basic grammar, reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills for students who can read and write in their first language. Students will receive a free textbook as a part of the class. We will work together to learn new vocabulary, sentence patterns, and communication using simple English. Esta clase es una introducción a las habilidades básicas de gramática, lectura, escritura, comprensión auditiva y expresión oral para estudiantes que pueden leer y escribir en su primer idioma. Los estudiantes recibirán un libro de texto gratuito como parte de la clase. Trabajaremos juntos para aprender vocabulario nuevo, patrones de oraciones y comunicación usando un inglés simple.

This season, the Library Teen Theater Troupe will be putting on a production of The Three Musketeers and the Very Pretty Diamonds by David Neilsen. This play is full of humor, duels, and trickery. The program is taught by a professional theater teacher. We will perform for the community on March 14 as part of Hillsboro Reads, celebrating a shared love of stories.
