 RSVP HERE This is your chance to meet directly with Oregon legislators, share your values, and help shape the decisions being made at the Capitol this session. And this day is all about speaking up for Oregon's wildlife. Legislators have the opportunity to give a huge boost to wildlife conservation by passing 1.25% for Wildlife, and we're going to make sure they hear our support loud and clear. The Wildlife Action Day will include a rally, followed by meetings with legislators. We can't wait to see you there. Wildlife t-shirts, snacks, and refreshments will be provided! RSVP HERE The worsening climate crisis threatens the safety all Oregonians deserve: health, wellness, and protection from ever-worsening extreme weather such as wildfires, extreme heat, persistent drought, toxic air, and more. The Climate Resilience Superfund Bill will require out-of-state fossil fuel companies to pay their fair share for past damages from climate changing emissions. The funds raised will be dedicated to making Oregon more resilient to wildfires and to the frontline communities most exposed to climate damages. That means polluters paying - instead of you and me - for benefits like wildfire home hardening, AC units for low-income Oregonians, energy-grid resilience, and lots more. Everyone has been impacted by climate change, so everyone has a story to tell. Will you join us in Salem on February 16 and share yours? Where: Salem, OR Complete details coming soon! We will train you on how to talk with lawmakers about the Climate Resilience Superfund Bill and share your personal story, then you and other community members will get to meet with lawmakers at the Capitol. This will be an all-day event in Salem.

Portland Action Night - CEI Hub Planning Commission Debrief

RSVP HERE The city of Portland's Critical Energy Infrastructure (CEI) Hub policy projectincludes a review of the city's zoning and planning codes governing a six mile stretch of NW Portland that houses 90% of the state's liquid fuel. Portlandâs Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) have been presenting recommended changes to the Planning Commission. Then, once the Planning Commission incorporates their own recommended changes a final draft will be presented to City Council. Once at Council we must be ready to act and speak to ensure the people have their voices heard! The project is currently slated to end in March so join us on Wednesday, Feb. 25 to learn more about the policy project, what is being proposed, and to prepare with others for written and verbal Council testimony. All are welcome, no experience required.
