On Friday, October 31st the Community Center for the Performing Arts and KOCF 92.7 FM proudly presents the Halloween Hullabaloo at the WOW Hall. Sweet N’ Juicy Sweet N’ Juicy plays Party Music! They have backed Grammy winners, comedians, and local celebrities in Portland, Oregon! Individually members have been on Warped tour, MTV, High Times Magazine, co-written music with Blondie, and have been session musicians for dozens of records. Sweet n’ Juicy is working on their best music yet. Be ready to party! Cello joe There aren’t very many singing, rapping, beatboxing, cello players in the world. There’s a particularly funny and funky curious one you should remember and he goes by the name of CelloJoe. Like most cello players, Joseph Abraham Tal Tien-Ru Chang Jr. Senior III esquire (or just Joey for short) started out as a classical cellist. A mild-mannered suburbanite kid from Los Altos, California, Joey began studying the cello at age ten. University Avenue in Palo Alto California is a pretty ritzy strip. There’s also a sizeable homeless population. A homeless man named Carl would listen to Joey playing often. It was he who coined the moniker “Cello Joe.” Joey sang impromptu songs about the glaring disparities right before his eyes in the wealthy folks and the homeless. Socially conscious and politically active, Joey naturally wove concepts of social and earth justice into his lyrics. Pitchwood Conceived beside a campfire, Pitchwood has developed into a dynamic folk rock band. A collaboration between singer/songwriters Ana Bradley and Jeffrey Frank, Pitchwood blends tight harmonies and expressive songwriting to create a rich and original sound. With mutual passion for nature and the human condition, Frank and Bradley infuse these experiences into their artistry.

On Monday, November 3rd the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly welcomes Off Book: The Improvised Musical to the WOW Hall. Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino create a completely improvised musical in an attempt to combat the notion that musicals should be “carefully crafted” or “thought out at all.” OFF BOOK – THE IMPROVISED MUSICAL  Jessica McKenna and Zach Reino create a completely improvised musical in an attempt to combat the notion that musicals should be “carefully crafted” or “thought out at all.”   Zach Reino and Jessica McKenna are a versatile musical comedy duo. They wrote and composed music for the WGA award-winning Peacock Series Baking It starring Maya Rudolph, Amy Poehler and Andy Samberg. The duo has also written songs and musical sketches for the hit animation show Rick and Morty, Party Over Here (a Fox sketch show produced by The Lonely Island), the Peacock series Pitch Perfect: Bumper In Berlin, Buzzfeed, FunnyOrDie and Nickelodeon. Zach and Jess are currently developing TV and Film projects with Amy Poehler’s Paper Kite Productions, David Wain (The State, Role Models, Wanderlust) and Elizabeth Banks’ Brownstone Productions. They also created and starred in Serious Music, a digital series for ABC.   Their improvised musical podcast Off Book has been praised by various online publications including Indie Wire, USA Today, Parade, AV Club and Splitsider and been featured at Comedy Central’s Clusterfest Festival, Moontower, the world renowned Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, and the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in LA. On Friday, Nov. 7th the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly welcomes Sa-Roc to the WOW Hall. Sa-Roc is one of the most commanding voices in contemporary hip-hop, known for her razor-sharp lyricism, fiery delivery, and socially conscious message. Born in Southeast Washington, D.C., during the height of the crack era, she grew up surrounded by poverty and systemic injustice — experiences that deeply shaped her worldview and artistry. After leaving Howard University, she relocated to Atlanta, where she met DJ and producer Sol Messiah. Their collaboration led to her debut EP Astral Chronicles (2008) and a prolific run of projects including Journey of the Starseed and Nebuchadnezzar. Sa-Roc has shared stages with legends such as The Roots, Common, Jay Electronica, Rakim, and Talib Kweli, earning recognition from Black Thought, who called her to perform with him at A3C. In 2016, she signed with Rhymesayers Entertainment, releasing a string of acclaimed singles and videos, including the viral anthem “Forever.” Her debut Rhymesayers album, The Sharecropper’s Daughter, is a powerful reflection on generational trauma and triumph. Beyond music, Sa-Roc is a wellness advocate, international performer, and ambassador for Hip Hop is Green, continuing to use her art to inspire empowerment, healing, and social change worldwide. OPENER: Scienz Messiah Scienz Messiah is a hip-hop collective (or “supergroup” as they’re often described) bringing together lyrical voices and production under a unified vision. Their members include: John Robinson Invizible Handz And Sol Messiahas producer/DJ They released the single “The Leak #1” in May 2025, with lyrics by John Robinson and Invizible Handz and production by Sol Messiah The group fuses “God Hop” / spiritually conscious themes with classic hip-hop values and emphasis on lyricism and beats. Sol Messiah, the group’s producer, is originally from Atlanta. He began his musical journey as a breakdancer and DJ, later moving into production. Sol-Messiah He’s worked in various roles in hip-hop and has a catalog of solo and collaborative projects. Scienz Messiah situates itself at the intersection of spirituality, musicality, and hip-hop culture, aiming to push the art form forward while remaining rooted in its foundations. On Saturday, Nov. 8th, 2025, the Community Center for the Performing Arts presents: Waylon Wyatt. Waylon Wyatt is an 18-year-old Folk/Country artist born and raised in Hackett, Arkansas. On Sunday, November 9th, the Community Center for the Performing Arts proudly presents Melt Banana at the WOW Hall. Last year, MELT-BANANA released their new album, ‘3 + 5.’ It is their eighth album. Like their previous works, it maintains the aggressive and violent pop sensibility along with a playful musicality, while also showing their eagerness to open new doors once again. This album presents a different side of them, yet when you listen to it, it still feels definitely like MELT-BANANA. They don’t seem to hold back at all. Instead, their willingness to keep pushing themselves is truly impressive. Both now and in the past, MELT-BANANA continues to take us to new dimensions. I can feel their desire to present something new, and I am genuinely happy to be able to listen to the album. This time, their US tour will last about a week and will only cover the West Coast. For them, who typically go on tours that last two to three months, this is a short tour. As the tour title ‘Sling Shot Tour 2025 (Area: US West Coast)’ suggests, it seems to be a targeted tour. Their upcoming tour includes a performance at Freakout Festival in Seattle, along with several additional dates along the West Coast — a rare chance to experience their live show across the region.
