Extendemos una cordial invitación a toda la comunidad a sumarse a este grupo, para leer y charlar sobre el libro de poesía <> por Efraín M. Díaz-Horna. El poeta Efraín M. Díaz-Horna participará en dos charlas:el martes, 13 enero, 5:30 - 7 p.m.el sábado, 7 febrero,1:30-3 p.m. Como siempre, se puede participar en persona, en la biblioteca EN PERSONA o por Zoom—son dos eventos híbridos.Sobre el autor:Efrían M. Díaz-Horna es poeta y dibujante, peruano y oregoniano, nacido en Talara, Peru. Recibió una beca para estudiar en los Estados Unidos en el colegio de Mt. Angel en Oregón donde obtuvo su licenciatura en Sociología. Regresó al Perú y trabajaba dos años en la ciudad de Chiclayo en Reforma Agraria. Volvió a los Estados Unidos para estudiar yobtuvo dos maestrías en la Universidad de Wisconsin.Durante 25 años trabaja en la Administración Pública del estado de Oregón y del condado de Multnomah. Cuando se jubiló, uno de sus colegas lo describió como <>Su poesía ha sido publicado en Expreso, The Oregonian, The Hispanic News, The National Catholic Reporter, y varios boletines informativos. Ha publicado varios libros de poesía: The Many Faces of Love (1983), Aire, agua y cenizas (2011), Cuatro poemas (2011), The Anvil of God (2011), The Life of Oceans (2014), 1ra Antología de la poesía oregoniana (2018), Relative Poetry (2018), 2da Antología de la poesía oregoniana (2019) y Cuando llegues al fondo, cava más abajo (2019)-- una traducción de la poesía de Kim Stafford.Efraín es miembro del Consejo de Humanidades de Oregón, del Consejo Regional de Arte y Cultura, de la Asociación de las Naciones Unidas de Oregón, de la Asociación de Poesía de Silverton, miembro del consejo de la Asociación de Poesía de Oregón, del Instituto de Cultura Oregoniana y ha presidido la Comisión Hispana de Oregón.Inscríbase en el evento y reciba un ejemplar del libro hasta agotar existencias.
