Join the Friends of the Altoona Area Public Library as they host Dr. Michael Farrow on Monday, May 18th at 6pm in the library theater. Dr. Farrow will present information about the 100 theaters of Altoona, including pictures and interesting historical facts. No registration is required. Dr. Farrow is a 1957 graduate of Altoona High School and had a distinguished career in pharmaceuticals including toxicology, teratology, genetic testing and safety of plastics in medical devices. Dr. Farrow has had a lifelong interest in history and preservation and the currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Blair County Historical Society at Baker Mansion. He has published numerous works including Altoona’s historic Mishler Theatre and Now showing : a history of Altoona and Blair County theatres.
