In partnership with the Pennsylvania Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and the Franklin County Bar Association, we are proud to bring the Wills for Heroes program to you. Wills for Heroes is a free and easy service that provides Wills, Living Wills, Health Care and Financial Powers of Attorney to first responders and military veterans and their spouses/partners. If you die without a Will, Pennsylvania’s intestate laws will determine who will receive your property. Undoubtedly, your loved ones’ grief will be overwhelming a clear expression of your intent, desires, and wishes may help ease some of this inevitable burden. While nobody likes to think about an untimely death, it is best that you express your wishes through a written document. For your family’s peace of mind, please consider this invaluable opportunity, offered completely free to you and your spouse/partner. On November 11, 2025, volunteer lawyers will be conducting a Wills for Heroes Program for all active and retired Pennsylvania First Responders of Franklin County and their spouses/significant others as well as Pennsylvania military veterans (please note that proof of affiliation will be requested at the event). The event will be held at the Franklin County Bar Association beginning at 11 a.m. Appointments for each person last approximately 1 hour and at the conclusion of it you will have notarized legal documents – a Will, Living Will, and Health Care and Financial Powers of Attorney (or any combination thereof). If you select that you are coming with a spouse/significant other, you will have back-to-back appointments. You do not need to schedule a separate appointment.   Program: Understanding trademarks, patents, and intellectual property (IP) law can be challenging for small businesses, innovators, companies, and entrepreneurs. That’s why we are excited to present a special program featuring one of the leading experts in the industry —Kevin C. Myhre is a patent attorney with Barley Snyder’s Intellectual Property Practice Group.   Kevin brings a unique perspective to his work with clients at various stages of development. He is involved in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, handling trademark matters, and providing litigation support across all areas of intellectual property law, including research and strategy development.   With a distinct background as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), where his field of examination focused on driverless and autonomous vehicle technology in the transportation sector is complemented by his real-world experience working within the engineering community.   Presenter: As a patent attorney in the firm’s Intellectual Property Practice Group, Kevin brings a unique perspective to his work for clients at various stages. Kevin is involved in patent application preparation and prosecution, trademark matters, and litigation support across all areas of intellectual property law, including research and strategy development.
