Winter Holiday Raffles will be available starting October 13th, and will run during open library hours until the Winter Holiday Sale on November 15th.These prizes make wonderful gifts for many different tastes. Raffle choices from Starbucks, Buffalo Wild Wings, Luhr's Center, and several other businesses will be available. The proceeds benefit Children's Programs at Grove Family Library. Tickets are one dollar for one, or five dollars for six. Winners will be drawn at the Winter Holiday Sale on November 15th and you do not need to be present to win.

In recognition of World Kindness Day, November 13, we offer you a month of be kind challenges. We encourage patrons to choose a Kindness Challenge Card with a suggestion of something nice to do that helps others. There are suggestions for adults, children and families. Participants will be entered into a raffle for $20.00 in Chamber Dollars and Be Kind t-shirts. One adult and one child will win. Everyone who turns in a card by the end of the month can choose a book from our Second Leaf Collection. Come to the library for details. The challenge will be available throughout the month of November. Even small acts of kindness can have a large impact.

This group meets to support area artists, from beginners to the nearly professional. Monthly meetings are devoted to demonstrations or critiques of members' work. There is also a website, and a monthly newsletter that describes exhibition opportunities and classes in the area. Meetings are free, although there is a small yearly fee to become a member. Each member is allowed to enter four pieces in the show, which is held annually, in June. Meetings are open to the public, and free. The social time takes place during the first half hour, and the meeting starts at 1 p.m.
