Need to get some community service hours for school or scholarships?Come to the Middletown Free Library from 6:00-8:00PM on select Wednesdays and help out! Students MUST REGISTER beforehand as space is limited. We cannot accommodate students on the Waitlist at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience, but you may only volunteer if you are fully registered. (Students on the Waitlist may NOT volunteer. If you are waitlisted you must wait and see if you get an email indicating that you have come off the waitlist, and onto the fully registered list.) Check in at the Main Circulation Desk and ask for Miss Libby. Tasks involved may include:-organizing and cleaning up materials for children's programs,-shelf-straightening books,-spraying and wiping tables, -sweeping throughout the library,-crafting scavenger hunt and decorative displays for the Children's Area, and more. No Cell Phone Usage during volunteering time. All volunteers are expected to respect library and volunteering rules and directions, such as following directions, being polite, and maintaining a quiet atmosphere in the library. Due to safety concerns, if volunteers cannot adhere to library rules and follow directions, they will be dismissed from volunteering and will not receive a volunteer verification letter. Teens only, ages 13-17. As a reminder, all volunteers aged 18 and up MUST have volunteer clearance paperwork. We cannot accept volunteers who are aged 18 and over who do not have volunteer clearance paperwork. Attendance Standard: If a participant signs up and is a no-show, then they will be removed from a future MFL registered program. Need to get some community service hours for school or scholarships?Come to the Middletown Free Library from 6:15-8:15PM on select Mondays and help out! Students MUST REGISTER beforehand as space is limited. We cannot accommodate students on the Waitlist at this time. We apologize for the inconvenience, but you may only volunteer if you are fully registered. (Students on the Waitlist may NOT volunteer. If you are waitlisted you must wait and see if you get an email indicating that you have come off the waitlist, and onto the fully registered list.) Check in at the Main Circulation Desk and ask for Miss Libby. Tasks involved may include:-organizing and cleaning up materials for children's programs,-shelf-straightening books,-spraying and wiping tables, -sweeping throughout the library,-crafting scavenger hunt and decorative displays for the Children's Area, and more. No Cell Phone Usage during volunteering time. All volunteers are expected to respect library and volunteering rules and directions, such as following directions, being polite, and maintaining a quiet atmosphere in the library. Due to safety concerns, if volunteers cannot adhere to library rules and follow directions, they will be dismissed from volunteering and will not receive a volunteer verification letter. Teens only, ages 13-17. As a reminder, all volunteers aged 18 and up MUST have volunteer clearance paperwork. We cannot accept volunteers who are aged 18 and over who do not have volunteer clearance paperwork. Attendance Standard: If a participant signs up and is a no-show, then they will be removed from a future MFL registered program. This is a drop-in event, and families are welcome to stop by anytime between 6-7:30 PM. Come celebrate our nation's 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. During this event, families will explore over 50 different instruments including child sized acoustic & electric guitars, ukuleles, keyboards and dozens of different types of percussion instruments. Mediaâs Merry Musicians Ensemble invites you to come join us! This joyful ensemble grew out of Amber Lee Casperâs private studentsâ desire to connect with other musicians here in Media. 2026 will be our third year, and we are excited to welcome even more of our neighbors to come play with us!Our repertoire is curated by Mrs. Casper and draws from classical, traditional folk, medieval, and American folk genres (requests welcome!). We meet at the Media-Upper Providence Free Library every other month on a Saturday from 11am-12:30pm. Over the course of the year, we will hold seven rehearsals and hope to perform at one or two community events in Media as opportunities arise. We are not a professional ensembleârather, we are Media's Merry Musicians: your neighbors and friends who simply believe that playing music together as a community matters.We are graciously sponsored by the Media-Upper Providence Free Library, whose support allows us to expand our reach and welcome more participants from Media and the surrounding area. Itâs completely free to join! Our ensemble is open to adults and youth (ages 12 ) accompanied by a parent or guardian.
