Sunday, February 222–4pm In celebration of Black History Month, join us for a special screening of Danielle Scott: Ancestral Call from the award-winning PBS documentary shorts series In the Making, followed by a discussion with the artist. Danielle Scott is a mixed-media assemblage artist of Afro-Cuban, Polish-Jewish and Asian heritage who draws on her multifaceted identity to explore deep themes of ancestry, memory, diaspora and resilience. Her installations invite viewers into a contemplative space where art becomes a vessel for ancestral dialogue. FREE

For active public school teachers Thursday, February 264:30–6:30pm Active public school teachers are invited to an exclusive tour of Steel Valley Visions: An American Legacy, including a brand new immersive experience related to the exhibition! Join us for an evening of exploring the galleries through hands-on learning experiences to take back to your classroom. FREE Please note that this workshop is for active public school teachers only.  Eligible teachers will receive two Act 48 credits issued by the Westmoreland Intermediate Unit. Teacher programs supported in part by contributions from businesses eligible for tax credits through the PA Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) program.
