Join us for PA’s largest annual citizen lobby day for climate action -- VIRTUALLY! On Thursday June 5th, PennEnvironment will be bringing together hundreds of Pennsylvanians from all across the state to hold video lobby meetings with state representatives and senators and their staff to advocate for legislation that will help fight climate change. You can join these meetings virtually from your own home, so sign up today to make sure your local elected officials get to hear from concerned constituents! We’ll schedule 1-2 video meetings with you, your elected officials, and other constituents (30-45 mins each) to discuss the importance of implementing policies to tackle climate change. Join PennEnvironment and hundreds of concerned Pennsylvanians on Thursday, June 5 for Pennsylvania’s largest annual citizen lobby day for climate action — virtually! You’ll join like-minded Pennsylvanians from every corner of the state who want our elected officials to implement climate solutions. With the attacks on our environment taking place in Washington, D.C., it’s more important than ever to meet with our local elected officials and let them know we need their leadership at the state level to promote clean renewable energy and fight climate change. PennEnvironment’s staff will schedule 1-2 virtual meetings with your elected officials, where you’ll be joined in the meetings by PennEnvironment’s expert advocates and other concerned citizens from your community, which take 30 minutes each on average. We’ll discuss important pending policies to promote renewable energy to help tackle climate change, and you’ll get the chance to share why climate action is important to you. We’ll also hold a virtual rally and online actions that you can participate in throughout the day. This year’s lobby day is co-sponsored by PennPIRG, Solar United Neighbors, POWER Interfaith, Conservation Voters of PA, Sierra Club PA, Vote Solar Action Fund, Clean Air Action Fund, KEEA, PA-IPL, Evergreen, Third Act PA, Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in PA, and more.

Pals For Life To Offer Children's Summer Program - What Did The Dog Say? Children between the ages of 4 - 8 are invited to join PFL's summer programing with an interactive animal communication class.  Participants will learn how a dog expresses itself with its tail and eyes and what it is trying to say.  This one-hour workshop which begins on June 18th at 10 am will be held at the Pals For Life office at 35 Grove Ave. in Devon. The goal of all the workshop is to encourage empathy, understanding, responsibility and compassion toward our animals.  The cost for the workshop is $20 and is limited to 12 children. Pals For Life is an assisted pet therapy organization providing outstanding pet therapy to the Delaware Valley region for forty one years.
