The Franklin Park Environmental Advisory Council will be leading its annual Spring Roadside Litter Cleanup event rain or shine on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 10:00 AM along Nicholson Road between Georgetown Drive and the Baierl YMCA. We are looking for people who want to make a big difference in cleaning up litter in Franklin Park. Police traffic control, safety vests, work gloves, and garbage bags will be provided. Want to help restore natural habitats? The borough’s Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) will hold its annual Green-Up Day from 10:00 until noon in Acorn Park. Teams may remove invasive species and plant native trees, shrubs, and wild flowers. Families are welcome. Even little hands can help plant a tree. The work will support habitat restoration at Acorn Park. The borough’s goal is to plant more than 200 trees and to landscape the park with native shrubs and wildflowers.
