Get your kiddos immersed in nature with a special Earth Day adventure at Evergreen Park. We’ll start with a fun and engaging story walk, where children can collect leaves, twigs, pine needles, and other natural treasures along the way. Using their gathered materials, they’ll create their very own beautiful nature collage masterpiece! Join the Ross Township Parks and Recreation Department at Bruno Sammartino Park for a hands-on volunteer event focused on planting willow trees, picking up trash, and removing invasive species. Stop by anytime between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM—whether you can stay for the whole time or just a few minutes, every bit helps. Light refreshments and all clean-up supplies will be provided. Whether you’re an experienced birder or brand new to the hobby, this program has something for everyone! Participants will learn helpful bird identification tips and resources, head outdoors to observe birds in their natural habitat, and create a bird feeder to take home. Please bring your own binoculars if you have them. A limited number of child-sized binoculars will be available to borrow.
