The grief journey is very difficult, but having the support and encouragement of other grievers who “get it” can help. Please join us on the 1st Thursday of each month for this group for widows and widowers of any age from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Drew’s Hope Grief Center, 946 Ashton Dr., Shippensburg, PA. If you have children, you are welcome to reserve a spot in our children’s activity group that will meet downstairs while the adult group meets upstairs. We require registration for that since we need to have volunteers on hand to ensure child safety. And if childcare is needed for infants/toddlers, we’d like to try to help with that too. Just let us know your needs. As the group grows, we’ll explore dividing into more loss-specific groups like bereaved spouses with school-age children, older adult grievers, etc. We’d like to explore a daytime option too. But to get started, please join us so that we can see what the needs of the group are and how best to serve you. The group will be co-facilitated by a bereaved spouse. We are excited to offer a twice-weekly yoga class for adults and teens of all experience levels! This class is led by Cindy Pimental. Each session is about 1 hour long. All levels are welcome and no experience is necessary to join the class.

NYANG was created in October 2017 by Randy Wilson of REEL PD and Michelle Rebok of Cross Country Mortgage as a way to help area professionals to grow themselves, grow their businesses, and to help the community.   NYANG membership is exclusive to a single industry sphere, such as business coaching.  However, it is possible for example, to have two businesses coaches be members at the same time if they agree on any existing overlap, and are not competing against each other for the same niche market. Membership investment is highly accessible to non-profits and new businesses as the amount to join is only $10 per month, or $100 if a full year is paid for at one time.  All money that is invested is donated on a quarterly basis to area non-profits.  Over $5,000 has been donated. If you are looking for a networking group, or are a member of another group and would like to see what NYANG is like, you are invited to come and visit.

Coffee, Crafting, and Community Group This group meets every Wednesday morning from 10:00 AM to noon at the Drew’s Hope Grief Center. It offers a supportive environment for grievers to gather and work on any crafty projects they wish to bring. For those who don't have their own projects, we provide adult coloring books and puzzles. Occasionally, there may even be a group craft project. Coffee and tea are provided, and you’re welcome to bring a snack to share! No matter where you are on your grief journey, the journey is often easier when you surround yourself with people that "get it". You don't have to grieve alone! Crafting Hope is an arts/crafts-based grief support group for adults who are grieving the death of a loved one. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. at the Drew's Hope Grief Center, 946 Ashton Dr., Shippensburg, PA. Pre-registration is requested by emailing the DMTF at [email protected]. This is especially important so we can notify you if the group gets canceled for some reason. The group includes grievers who are bereaved spouses, parents, adult children and more with losses ranging from accidents and illness to suicide and overdose. You can make healing connections to provide validation, encouragement and support. Group description - Come and meet others who are grieving the death of a loved one while you work on a craft project of your choice! Any arts/crafts that offer a positive mindset can be helpful to a griever, especially when gathering with other grievers for fellowship and support. We can also teach you how to knit. Studies show that knitting has shown positive mental health benefits for grievers so if you want to learn, we'll help you!
