You will receive pertinent information regarding fall sports and have a team parent meeting for sport-specific information from your coaches. It is important that you attend if you are able. Meeting Date, Time, & Location: Wednesday, August 5, 2026 Spring Grove Area High School Auditorium * The meeting will be at 5:30 PM for Cheerleading, Cross Country, Field Hockey, Golf, Boys and Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, and Girls Volleyball. * The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM for all Football levels. August 17: 5:30-7:00PM K Orientation /  First Grade Back to School Night In order to minimize parking overflow, Back-to-school night for Grade 1 will coincide with the Kindergarten orientation evening on Monday, August 17, 2026. We follow an open house format for First Grade.  Please note: Teachers will not have an opportunity for individual conferences.  If you have confidential information that you would like to share with the teachers regarding your child, please contact the school office or email your child’s teacher.  The school office will be open on the evening of the open house for your convenience.  New Salem Kindergarten Orientation is a night to share important information with parents and students. Please make every effort to attend this evening.  We ask you to refrain from bringing siblings to this event if possible. This will have a specific schedule, detailed below. Parents and Children will promptly report to the Cafeteria to start the evening. Our teachers : Mrs. Harman, Mrs. Wirkus, Mr. Michael & Miss Hansen will be greeting you along with Dr. Dietrich.   Each station will provide critical information for the start of the school year. Please plan to attend the entire time. 5:30-6:15:  Cafeteria - Cafeteria and transportation presentations- Students will take a brief bus ride, move through the cafeteria lines and be provided a snack 6:15-7:00: Classroom-teacher presentation and informal tours in the individual classrooms During the transportation presentation, students will be taking a brief bus ride to learn about safety. During the cafeteria presentation, students will navigate the lunch line as they receive a snack and beverage to carry on a cafeteria tray.
