Calling all little nature explorers! Join us at Scott Arboretum & Gardens for mornings full of singing, stories, crafts, and dancing. Each session is seasonally themed around nature and the garden. This program is designed for children ages 2 to 4 years old.  Registration Cost: Members: Free Non-Members: $40 ACCESS Cardholder: $2; call 610-328-8025 to register. This program is rescheduled from Friday, February 7. Indulge in a luxury chocolate tasting led by Master Chocolatier Christopher Curtin of award-winning Éclat Chocolate in West Chester, Pa. Participants will receive a brief history of chocolate, gain an understanding of Éclat’s creative process, and sample seven artisanal chocolates. About the Presenter Éclat Chocolate’s founder and Master chocolatier Christopher Curtin set out from Madison, Wisconsin, to the House of le Compagnons du Devoir, home of the premier guild of pastry chefs and artisans in France. It was here where he worked alongside the best journeyman pastry chefs in Europe, and became the first American to be awarded the honor of German Pastry Chef and Chocolatier in Cologne, Germany. Immersed in the realm of the World’s top chocolate makers, Christopher continued to hone his skills in the finest chocolate houses of Belgium, Switzerland, France, Germany and Japan. Begin your day at Little Island, a striking park perched above the Hudson River on a series of sculptural concrete pods. This unique floating oasis bursts with seasonal plantings at their peak—vibrant blooms, ornamental grasses, and richly textured gardens provide a feast for the senses. Stroll along winding paths, relax in shaded nooks, and soak in sweeping views of the water and Manhattan skyline. Next, enjoy lunch just steps away at Pier 57, where you’ll find a rooftop park and a diverse range of culinary options—all set against the backdrop of the Hudson. Alternatively, explore the iconic Chelsea Market, where local vendors offer everything from handcrafted pastries to globally inspired street food—perfect for a casual bite or a foodie indulgence. In the afternoon, immerse yourself in the late-summer magic of The High Line on a private guided tour. This elevated park, transformed from an abandoned railway, showcases an artful mix of native and ornamental plantings that thrive in the warm season. As you walk the garden-lined path, our guide will share insights into the park’s innovative landscape design, seasonal flora, and cultural impact on the city. Sculptures, murals, and urban vistas add artistic and architectural interest throughout the journey. This curated day blends greenery, design, and gourmet delights—capturing the essence of late summer. Travel by coach bus, driver gratuity, tour fees, snacks, and refreshments on the bus are all included in the price of this trip. Lunch will be on your own.  Accessibility: This excursion is wheelchair accessible; contact us by September 2 to indicate wheelchair use. Participants must be able to traverse up to 2 miles at a leisurely pace. The bus will drop the group off at Little Island and return at the end of the day for pick up at Hudson Yards. Join us for a guided hike through the beautiful Crum Woods! Enjoy the crisp autumn air and scenic trails as we explore this hidden gem together. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a first-time explorer, this is a great way to connect with nature and experience the magic of fall in our local forest. We recommend this hike for adults and children ages 5 and up. All children must be accompanied by an adult.Accessibility:  This program is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.Participants must be able to hike on unpaved, hilly surfaces for about 2 miles, with exposed roots and rocks.
