Independent readers through age 12 are invited to come in by appointment and read to a special guest at the library. We are happy to have a certified therapy dog who loves to listen to children read. This 4 legged friend and their owner have completed training with Windwalker Professional Pet Assisted Therapy Program and they are excited about this event. Fifteen minute appointments will be scheduled between 6:00 and 7:00 PM. Please register your child for ONE of the four time slots. This is a fun and educational program designed to help kids practice early literacy skills with a specially trained K-9 friend. Parents are asked to arrive early to check in and allow their child to choose a book to read.A NOTE TO PARENTS: We ask that you respect the age and attendance restrictions that we have for certain programs. Please do not request to sign your child up for a program he/she does not meet the age requirements for. These age requirements are set up to ensure that all children have an enjoyable and safe experience. We also ask that in order to be courteous to our performers and staff, you arrive on time for programs. We reserve the right to refuse admittance once a program has begun.

Join us in February to learn about what Google provides for free with a Gmail account. You should already have a Gmail account set up before attending these classes. Session 1 is on Thursday, February 5th at 6:30 PM, Session 2 is on Thursday, February 12th at 6:30 PM, and Session 3 is on Thursday, February 19th at 6:30 PM. Every other Friday in January and February, adults and their caregivers can drop in the Program Room between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM. We will have a variety of self-directed activities available for you to use. Each time may differ, but we will have coloring pages, puzzles, sticker books, sensory objects, and more. All supplies are expected to be shared. Any leftovers will be used at the next drop-in. Please note that this drop-in session will not be supervised by staff. We ask that caregivers stay in the room.
