Join us for a fascinating discussion with Chief Anthony Pesare (ret.), author of They Always Win and Back in the Game on Tuesday, August 19 at 5:00 PM.Drawing on a distinguished 40-year career in law enforcement — much of it spent investigating organized crime — Chief Pesare will present a compelling talk on the history and evolution of organized crime in New England. He’ll also share the stories behind his two books, which bring these cases to life.This presentation blends historical context with an insider's perspective to reveal the inner workings of organized crime families, major cases, and the challenges investigators face. Before that, he served as the Dean of the School of Justice Studies at Roger Williams University. His distinguished law enforcement career spanned twenty-four years with the Rhode Island State Police, where he ultimately rose to the rank of Major. The Chief is an inductee of the R. I. Attorney General’s Criminal Justice Hall of Fame.While serving in the Intelligence Unit of the State Police, he investigated organized crime, which provides the foundation for his Gino Peterson novels, with Back In The Game being the second installment in the series, following They Always Win.Pesare earned a B.S. degree in Administration of Justice from Roger Williams University, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Rhode Island, and a Juris Doctor from the New England School of Law in Boston, MA.
