Join us for a beautiful lighthouse cruise that includes ten lighthouses and islands as well as a tour of Newport Harbor! A great event to kick off the summer! Registered Guests must check-in at 4:30 PM (half hour prior to event) at registration table to receive a ticket to board the vessel.    The address for the event is 1347 Roger Williams Way, North Kingstown, RI 02852. The cruise viewing is two hours in duration (5:00 – 7:00 PM). We ask that all attendees arrive by no later than 4:30 PM so that we can check everyone in, boarding begins at 4:45 PM and departs at 5:00 PM sharp. Chamber member tickets are $35 apiece and non-member tickets are $45 apiece. Tickets must be purchased in advance and ticket holders must be 21+ years of age. Please note that the ferry company has requested that attendees do not bring any outside food.  Bringing aboard alcohol of any kind is also strictly prohibited.  There is a cash bar and snack bar aboard the vessel.

Experience these "living fossils" up close while contributing valuable data to this long-term research program   Participate in this important conservation effort, should be prepared for the physical demands of the survey.   Due to the nature of surveying; you must be at least 12 years old to volunteer.   A maximum of 6 volunteers can join us per survey.   Please sign up for no more than 3 survey dates to allow others to participate.   Surveys are conducted during the high tide of new and full moons during May, June, and July, as this time is when horseshoe crabs are most likely to come ashore to spawn.   Survey includes two miles of walking, often in about 1 ft of water. The surveys can last anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4 hours, depending on the number of horseshoe crabs along the shore. Gardens by the Sea is a self-guided garden tour through the historic Borough of Stonington. Experience the beauty hidden beyond its garden gates and explore waterfront vistas, terraced landscapes, and enchanted pocket gardens. The tour will showcase 10 private gardens, as well as several ribbon and community gardens. Garden "experts" (such as Master Gardeners) will be available in the gardens to answer questions. Tour also includes a tented Marketplace with 20-30 vendors and "Plein Air" artists in selected gardens. All gardens are within a half mile of each other, and free parking will be available. Tickets are $50 through June 8 at www.stoningtongardenclub.org/garden-tour. After that, tickets will only be available onsite on the days of the tour for $65. The event is rain or shine, and tickets are non-refundable.

Learn more about their amazing life cycles and biology as we explore the beach searching for them. Be prepared to get wet and walk at least 2 miles over sandy and rocky terrain with wet and sandy shoes. (Be sure to wear appropriate footwear; no flip flops or crocs.) Pre-registration is required. This program is suited for adults and families with children who can handle the conditions.

Westerly Band presents its annual Children's Concert in Wilcox Park, featuring children's favorites that are enjoyed by all ages.   March with the Toy Soldier; dance to YMCA with the 'Village People'; listen and sing to children's songs; learn conducting from the Band Conductor, with a chance to conduct the band; enjoy keeping rhythm with shakers; and go for a walk in the park with Mama Bear to "Teddy Bear's Picnic".

Join us for our 20th year participating in Project Limulus, a scientific survey tracking horseshoe crab populations. Join us for our 20th year participating in Project Limulus, a scientific survey tracking horseshoe crab populations. Experience these "living fossils" up close while contributing valuable data to this long-term research program   Participate in this important conservation effort, should be prepared for the physical demands of the survey.   Due to the nature of surveying; you must be at least 12 years old to volunteer.   A maximum of 6 volunteers can join us per survey.   Please sign up for no more than 3 survey dates to allow others to participate.   Surveys are conducted during the high tide of new and full moons during May, June, and July, as this time is when horseshoe crabs are most likely to come ashore to spawn.   Survey includes two miles of walking, often in about 1 ft of water. The surveys can last anywhere from 1.5 hours to 4 hours, depending on the number of horseshoe crabs along the shore.
