At age 87, Buddy Guy is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a major influence on rock titans like Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughan, a pioneer of Chicago’s fabled West Side sound, and a living link to the city’s halcyon days of electric blues. Buddy Guy has received 8 GRAMMY Awards, a 2015 Lifetime Achievement GRAMMY Award, 38 Blues Music Awards (the most any artist has received), the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement, a Kennedy Center Honor, and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him #23 in its "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time."  In 2019, Buddy Guy won his 8th and most recent GRAMMY Award for his 18th solo LP, “The Blues Is Alive And Well”.   In July of 2021, in honor of Buddy Guy’s 85th birthday, PBS American Masters released “Buddy Guy: The Blues Chase The Blues Away”, a new documentary following his rise from a childhood spent picking cotton in Louisiana to becoming one of the most influential guitar players of all time. The documentary features new interviews with Buddy Guy, Carlos Santana, Eric Clapton, John Mayer, Gary Clark Jr, and more. Watch the full documentary at PBS Online here. Though Buddy Guy will forever be associated with Chicago, his story actually begins in Louisiana. One of five children, he was born in 1936 to a sharecropper’s family and raised on a plantation near the small town of Lettsworth, located some 140 miles northwest of New Orleans. Buddy was just seven years old when he fashioned his first makeshift “guitar”—a two-string contraption attached to a piece of wood and secured with his mother’s hairpins. In 1957, he took his guitar to Chicago, where he would permanently alter the direction of the instrument, first on numerous sessions for Chess Records playing alongside Howlin’ Wolf, Muddy Waters, and the rest of the label’s legendary roster, and then on recordings of his own. His incendiary style left its mark on guitarists from Jimmy Page to John Mayer. “He was for me what Elvis was probably like for other people,” said Eric Clapton at Guy’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 2005. “My course was set, and he was my pilot.” Seven years later, July 2012 proved to be one of Buddy Guy’s most remarkable years ever. He was awarded the 2012 Kennedy Center Honor for his lifetime contribution to American culture; earlier in the year, at a performance at the White House, he even persuaded President Obama to join him on a chorus of “Sweet Home Chicago.” Also in 2012, he published his long-awaited memoir, When I Left Home. These many years later, Buddy Guy remains a genuine American treasure and one of the final surviving connections to an historic era in the country’s musical evolution.

The show has been nominated for seven 2024 NAACP Image Awards with Mike winning for “Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series.” The show was also nominated for two People’s Choice Awards nominations. Mike can also be seen in the Amazon Prime show “I am a Virgo” which premiered at the SXSW festival and was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and a Gotham Award. In February 2024 his seventh stand up special “Ready to Sell Out” premiered on Netflix with the New York Times calling him “unquestionably a star.” He can currently be seen in the Amazon MGM comedy “The Underdoggs” which debuted in homes in more than 240 countries and territories around the globe. Mike stars alongside star and director Snoop Dogg, George Lopez, and Tika Sumpter. He can also be seen in the HBO Max series “Winning Time” ; the Netflix comedy special “Snoop Dogg’s F*cn Around '' The Marvel film “Madam Web” and in “The Come Up” for director Sanaa Lathan on Paramount+. Mike can also be seen in the HGTV special “Buying Back the Block.” The show followed Mike and his wife Kyra who bought several homes on his childhood block in Indianapolis, with the goal to revitalize the neighborhood and bring back the charm, community and character that Mike valued growing up. One of the houses belonged to his grandmother. In the last couple years he has been seen in the Amazon feature “Troup Zero” starring opposite Viola Davis, Allison Janney, and Jim Gaffigan; and in the A24 film “The Last Black Man in San Francisco” which both premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.         In 2019, his fifth stand up special “Just One Mike” premiered on Netflixs and he starred opposite Eddie Murphy in the comedy “Dolemite is my Name” which was nominated for Golden Globe, Broadcast Film Critic Awards and a NAACP Image Award.      In 2017 Harper Collins published his first book, Unsuccessful Thug about his life growing up around violence and how comedy gave him a better life. Mike was seen in the HBO-Emmy Winning biopic “Bessie” based on Bessie Smith, played by Queen Latifah. The film chronicles how Smith overcame her tempestuous personal life to become one of the most acclaimed performing and recording artists of the 1920s and ’30s, earning the nickname Empress of the Blues. Mike plays Richard Morgan, a bootlegger and romantic interest to Bessie Smith. The film also won a Critics Choice Award for “best miniseries/ movie” as well as a Primetime Emmy for “Television Movie or Limited Series.” Mike was seen in three seasons of the Starz series “Survivor’s Remorse” produced LeBron James and Mike O’Malley which he won a 2016 NAACP Image award for “Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series” for his portrayal as Uncle Julius. In 2011, he was awarded an NAACP Image Award for “Best Supporting Actor” for his role in the Sony Pictures film, “Jumping the Broom." He continued to receive critical praise for his dramatic turn in 2012 with "Sparkle," opposite Whitney Houston and Jordan Sparks. In 2016 he further pursued his dramatic side with two important roles: starring opposite Forest Whitaker and Anthony Mackie in the Lionsgate thriller, "Repentance," being released through Lionsgate/Codeblack Entertainment., followed by the independent Nina Simone biopic, “Nina,” starring Zoe Saldana. In “Nina,” he plays the legendary Richard Pryor, who opened for the singer in the early 60’s. He is also currently on a national stand up tour and since 2000, Epps steadily climbed his way up the stand-up comedy ranks when he was recognized by a national audience in 1995 for appearing on HBO’s Def Comedy Jam (which, years later, he would go on to host). During a performance at LA’s Comedy Store, Epps caught the attention of Ice Cube. This led to the first of three feature films they would do together: the cult hits “Next Friday,” "Friday after Next," and “All About the Benjamins.” Other features include the Hangover franchise, “Girls Trip” “Faster,” “Hancock,” “Lottery Ticket,” “Next Day Air,” “Roll Bounce,” “The Fighting Temptations”, the Resident Evil franchise, “Bait”, “How High,” “Dr.Dolittle 2”, "Talk to Me", and "Guess Who?"                    Epps has been seen in over 40 cities and 3 continents doing standup.

Neal Vitullo and the Vipers Friday, June 20 Premier Blues, Roots, Rockabilly and Surf Band Show: 8p | Doors: 7p Tickets: $15   NEAL & THE VIPERS are a Rhode Island based band who play American Roots Music encompassing blues, rock & roll, rockabilly, and surf, that will get you up out of your chair to dance all night long!  When the show is over, you will feel full of energy and looking forward to catching the next show. The Vipers are professional musicians; all experts in their instruments with decades of playing experience that is one of the the keys to their amazing performances.  You can feel the chemistry between them as they play hits from their many original songs off their CD's as well as covering classic songs such as "Little Wing", "Hey Joe", "Right Place Wrong Time" and instrumentals like "Sleepwalk" and "Pipeline".  The Vipers always put their own spin on these classic songs, making them their own.  Some fans even say that they enjoy hearing their versions better than the original. Maybe you're thinking, how did it all begin?  Neal Vitullo, lead guitarist and Dave Howard, lead vocalist are the original founders of what started as "Young Neal and the Vipers"  in the early 1980's.  Steve Bigelow joined the band a few years later and they played all over the north east and regularly in New York City and that was where they caught the attention one night from the Atlantic Record founder & president Ahmet Ertegun, who signed them to their label in 1989.  That same year they were signed to Atlantic Records they played 300 shows. Their first CD, "Hooloovoo" ended up being released on "Big Noise" records in 1991, where it went on to be the best selling CD in 1991 and 1992 by "TheNicePaper" as well as the 1991 Critic's Choice Award from "The Providence Journal".  "I'm Finally Alone", their second CD also released by "Big Noise", went on to be the best of 1993 from "The Providence Journal" and the best selling CD of 1994 from "TheNicePaper".  They continued to win awards from "Best Music Poll" from "The Providence Pheonix" to the "Best of Bands" and "Best of Blues Acts" from the "Hartford Advocate". Steve Bigelow and Dave Howard decided to leave the Vipers back in the early 90's to pursue other projects and Neal continued on as lead vocalist and lead guitarist, playing as a trio with The Vipers.  Neal never stopped recording CD's and touring as far west as Texas and also all over Europe.  Neal was signed by Bob Greenly to King Snake Records for the next 4 albums, and 2 self-produced Live CD's between 1991-2012,  The Vipers also have tracks featured in 9 other compilation albums released by Big Noise from 1992-1998. Current drummer Mike LaBelle joined the Vipers in 2003 when The Vipers were still a trio until Dave Howard and Steve Bigelow reunited with Neal in 2010, coming "full circle". October of 2010, after 20 years of not sharing the same stage together, Neal, Dave, and Steve reunited together with Mike on drums to play at the Knickerbocker Cafe in Westerly, RI.  Soon after, they recorded the 8th CD "Full Circle". Today, NEAL & THE VIPERS continue to play shows every week and they finished their 9th CD, "One Drunken Kiss" that was released June 1, 2018 and is available for sale on this website online store and at all shows.

At the end of 2021, James Blunt released a greatest hits album. "Or as I like to call it — The Greatest Hit And Songs I Wish You'd Heard," he says, which, as anyone who follows his X/Twitter account will tell you, is a very James Blunt thing to say: it's self-deprecating, funny, and predicated on the recurrent gag that the only James Blunt song anyone knows or cares about is his multi-platinum 2005 single 'You're Beautiful.' In fact, the greatest hits album (it was called The Stars Beneath My Feet, for the avoidance of doubt) rounded up the first 17 years of a career that feels extraordinary by anyone's standards. He was an artist who appeared to come out of nowhere — the first gig James Blunt ever attended was the first gig James Blunt ever performed, shortly after leaving the army in 2002 — and immediately released the biggest-selling album of the decade: Back To Bedlam shifted over 12 million copies. James later released a further succession of hit albums, every one of them a Top Ten hit, and — contrary to the recurrent gag about 'You're Beautiful' — a brace of huge singles: '1973,' 'Stay The Night' and 'Bonfire Heart.' He became quite astonishingly adept at social media — his pithiest Tweets were even published as a book, 2020's How To Be A Complete And Utter Blunt: The Diary Of A Reluctant Social Media Sensation. He started attracting a noticeably different audience to the one you might expect: anyone who turned up at his Greatest Hits tour might have been surprised to find not just 40 and 50 somethings, but people too young to remember Back To Bedlam as anything other than a fuzzy memory from their primary school years. As James explains, "I think the truth is that they were fed my music on long car journeys. They were in the back of their parents' car and their parents were playing this album over and over again, while they're thinking "play something else!," but now it's engrained in them and they know every single word to every single song, and they're there singing along. I think it's been helped by my online presence, X/Twitter and a couple of things on TikTok where they go, "Oh, it's Blunty, and he's funny too!. So I'm getting a crowd of young people, stag dos, hen dos. It's kind of a bizarre place to be." James will take to the road in June next year to embark on a special run of North American arena dates for the 'Back To Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour,' where he will perform the Back To Bedlam album in its entirety, along with other classic hits from his career. Included in this special 20th anniversary release comes a special version of the original album remastered for 2024, in addition to previously unreleased demos of the core songs from the album, plus previously unreleased songs from the Bedlam era. In true James Blunt fashion, he explains; "I've released seven studio albums, but Back To Bedlam was the one people actually bought. So on its twentieth anniversary, the record label and I thought we should repackage it with some early demos, and milk it for all it's worth. It was one of the biggest selling albums of the Noughties, so here's hoping it makes a dent in the 20's." Back To Bedlam featured the global smash hit 'You're Beautiful' and is one of the top ten best-selling albums of the Noughties, garnering five Grammy nominations. As James humbly approaches national treasure status in his native UK, he is widely regarded for his honesty, wit and charm, as showcased on record, on stage and with his ever-engaging social media banter. Next year, James will play four dates across North America, kicking off June 12th in Toronto, and finishing July 3rd in Mexico City.
