The Board of Directors represent the business and professional leadership in the community. The board consists of 16 voting members that are each eligible to serve two three-year terms. In addition, the CVB Board President-Elect and a Board Member of the Aberdeen Development Corporation serve one-year terms.   Serving as non-voting members, or ex-officios, to the Board of Directors are representatives from the Aberdeen Downtown Association, the Aberdeen Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Aberdeen Development Corporation.

The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce proudly announces the 2026 ABBY Awards, a prestigious evening celebrating the individuals, businesses, and organizations that drive progress and inspire excellence in our community. In addition to honoring remarkable business and individual achievements, the evening will feature the graduation of the 2026 Leadership Aberdeen Class, adding another layer of celebration to this inspiring night. This event focuses on maximizing the value of our members’ time by combining individual and business awards and the Leadership Aberdeen Graduation into one impactful event. We are excited to celebrate the individuals and organizations that drive progress and embody the pride of our region. This year’s ABBY Awards will take place on Friday, April 16, 2026, at the Best Western Aberdeen Lodging in Aberdeen, SD. The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social, followed by dinner. The awards ceremony will commence at 7:15 p.m., where 13 awards will be presented across various categories. Tickets for the event are available for $75 per individual or $650 for a reserved table of eight. Registrations due by March 31, 2026!
