Convocation is the assembly of the graduating class, their families and friends. It is a time to be together as a class before the festivities of graduation. The program consists of an address by a guest speaker  and speeches by members of the graduating class.  Music is provided by the Oak Ridge High School Music Department. Seniors who choose to participate in the Convocation exercises must wear the traditional cap and gown. Only school-issued cords and stoles are permitted. The gown is to be worn over the appropriate apparel such as dresses, dress pants (long pants, not shorts), and button-up dress shirt, tie is optional. Dress shoes are also required.
