This group will be facilitated by a Certified Dementia  Practitioner.

While we encourage attendees to come to every session, there is some flexibility. Please register to secure your spot, and walk-ups will be accommodated if space allows. We provide everything that is needed for the one-shot, including character sheets, dice, dice trays, and minis. Hear stories, sing songs, jump around, and learn! Suggested ages: 18 months - 3 years old.  Participation of parents and caregivers is highly recommended.Space is limited to 30 children and their adults.  There will be TWO separate storytimes, one at 9:30 and another at 10:30. These will be exactly the same. This storytime will also be the same as our Saturday Storytimes at 9:30.

Since dogs are not judgmental, kids can read to them without feeling the pressure and anxiety that may come from reading to peers. Nellie is a registered therapy dog with Pet Partners that will be at the Preston Royal Branch ready to listen to any story of your choosing! This will be one-on-one, and first come, first serve. đMake your stories come alive! đ­During our Reader's Theater, we will use scripts, masks, and props to make stories come alive. There is no rehearsal needed for our Reader's Theatre productions. For Reader's Theatre, there is no need to memorize lines since actors will keep their scripts the entire time. Additionally, they will have a few small props and costume accessories to help create their characters and stories. When we begin, we will break up into groups, pick out of the selected scripts, and assign roles (Caregivers are encouraged to play along too).
