Join us for a Level Up Lunch featuring Dr. Ankit Anand. Dr. Anand will be presenting on “What Is Working on Social Media Right Now & What’s Not.” This session will focus on current trends, platform shifts, engagement strategies, and practical insights businesses can immediately apply.  About Dr. Ankit Anand: Dr. Ankit Anand is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Georgia State University. Dr. Anand’s expertise bridges the gap between academic research and business growth, with a specific focus on the marketing-finance interface, B2B marketing, retail strategy, and sustainability. He specializes in equipping future business leaders with practical skills, teaching courses on Data-driven Sales Strategies and Marketing Research. His dedication to education has been recognized with multiple honors, including Texas Tech Alumni Association New Faculty Award. Highly engaged in the intersection of business and innovation, Dr. Anand recently received a Faculty C-Startup Award from the Texas Tech Innovation Hub. His industry-focused research has been published in top outlets such as the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Retailing, and Industrial Marketing Management.

Doing Business with TxDOT is a Business Opportunities Start Small (BOSS) event series hosted by the TxDOT Civil Rights Division in partnership with local district offices. These events serve as a platform for connecting small businesses with TxDOT and industry personnel. Attendees will be introduced to key district officials, hear about upcoming projects, and learn best practices for navigating contractor resources. They will also engage with prime contractors and fellow small businesses, gaining insights into their experiences doing business with TxDOT. This is a collaborative effort with the Lubbock District. Limited spaces are available and registration is required. Show up prepared to network, take notes, and participate in open discussions. Don't forget your business cards! This event will be conducted in English. If English is not your primary language and you have difficulty communicating effectively in English, you may need an interpreter or document translator; one will be provided to you upon request. If you have a disability and need assistance, special arrangements can be made to accommodate most needs. Summer Adventure surrounds kids with entertaining, engaging programs, and activities that make learning fun. There will be activity booths, free give-aways, live science demonstrations, animals, as well as FREE screenings of some of your favorite PBS Kids shows in the OMNI Theater and on the Science Stage. Plus, live appearances by PBS Kids characters like Carl the Collector and Clifford the Big Red Dog. Summer Adventure activities are located in the Science Spectrum Exhibit Hall. *Standard Museum and OMNI Theater ticket rates apply on this day for all other performances.
